I went into the SheCodes Workshop with minimal knowledge in HTML and CSS that I gained through my own trial and error. I feel this program was the perfect introduction to coding! I’ve always been curious about the art of coding and was seeking a new challenge during quarantine, I’m so happy to have signed up for SheCodes. The classes are well laid out and the challenges are a great way to ensure you have fully grasped the concepts. Most online platforms do not offer this type of interaction; SheCodes is a great way to learn online. I will add that the sense of community is truly excellent, overall very satisfied with this platform.
This workshop is challenging, but with the follow-along tutorials and readily available help of others on Slack, you will come out of this feeling accomplished.

I discovered SheCodes through a friend and decided to try it myself since I always had an interest in coding, but was to scared to try because I didn't have any experience. Matt makes learning code easy. Because it is structured in small bite-size pieces I could fit in into my busy schedule. I was really happy with what I had learned after only 1 month.
I've been meaning to learn coding but never knew where or how to start. This workshop is perfect for introducing coding to absolute beginners like me. I like how you can do the workshop entirely at your own pace and how there is a challenge at the end of every lesson so you don't just learn and forget. I am so grateful for this small workshop. I am a high school student with a relatively heavy workload and still managed to get all work in on time. All lessons are taught thoroughly which means that weekly challenges will be very easy to complete and I virtually needed no help. However, I always knew that I could ask for help anytime in the Slack chat. The final project demonstrates a person's creativity and really challenges your acquired knowledge. All in all, this course was highly rewarding.
I'd recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to get basic exposure to front-end programming. The instruction was very easy to understand. Overall, I had a great experience with the 3 week workshop!

Easy to follow even during a busy week, the HTML and CSS was challenging enough when remembering attribute names. The Javascript might be little too easy for those who already know a coding language.

I've been trying to get into coding for YEARS. It was very difficult to learn about API's but you understand the skeleton and formulation of each code that build up together. It's a mental puzzle worth building

Great introductory course. It refreshed my mind with all the CSS, and JS which I had long forgotten! The short-to-the-point lessons followed by a challenge and a solution after you submit your solution really gets you focused and wanting you to keep learning more. I can totally vouch for this anyone willing to gain some foundational knowledge on HTML, CSS, and JS.
I really enjoyed the SheCodes introductory workshop! Matt was a great teacher and went through everything step-by-step. I especially enjoyed his humour - it made learning more fun!
