I enjoyed this workshop while I was learning the basics of coding. I feel more confident now about coding and programming. After this workshop, I would like to learn more coding and improve myself more in this field. This workshop showed me that everyone who wants to learn and who is really curious about being a coder can code. There is always more to learn and it can be scary but SheCodes has shown me that coding is a really interesting field and as long as you are open to learning new things, you can do it. Lastly, I would like to add that after this course, I cannot see the websites and apps the way I used to see them. I am always curious about the codes of the websites. I am now able to inspect the codes on google which gives me the privilege to understand much deeper coding.
I had just finished my first SheCodes workshop, and I was hooked! I needed to learn more and quickly signed up for SheCodes plus. Matt explains everything so clearly, but also leaves it up to you to figure out what you can, and make that final project your own!

I started this course having tried to complete coding classes and online workshops before but never really having the information stick or feel like I learned a lot. After finishing the SheCodes 3 week course I feel like I have a great foundation and really learned a lot! Plus I loved the classes and projects!
I chose this course to learn more about coding and the results have left me very happy. I am proud of myself that I can now apply what I've learnt to better improve my skillset. The courses were not long and tedious but rather fun and challenging. I especially loved the challenges after each lesson as it helped me to understand the lesson more. I came out of this course falling in love with coding and wanting to learn more about this world.

I am pleasantly surprised how much I've learned in 3 weeks. This course provides a good foundation for learning the languages of code (it covers HTML, CSS and JavaScript). Matt's instruction made the subject easy to understand and relatable. I'm motivated to go much further with coding.

I'm really glad I decided to take Shecodes+! Of course, there have been a couple of frustrating moments, such as being stuck on a function and not getting the result I need, but I loved those moments because I couldn't stop until I came up with a solution. SheCodes is an amazing place to start learning coding! All videos are very detailed and everything is being explained. It is nice to have someone available in the chat as well, so whenever you are stuck with something or have any additional questions you will get help!
After thoroughly enjoying the SheCodes beginner course, I signed up for SheCodes Plus workshop and I am so glad I did. It follows a similar structure to the previous course (self paced videos, weekly deadlines, Slack chat, etc). This is a challenging and rewarding course with plenty of support if you need it. There were times when I was tearing my hair out but in the end it was all worth it! I feel so accomplished and so proud to have built my very own functioning weather app! A huge thanks to Matt and the team as well as the wonderful SheCodes community for all their encouragement along the way.

Coding can seem like a very daunting thing to learn; however, it doesn't have to be. SheCodes makes learning how to code fun, exciting, and rewarding. The Slack chat is super helpful- and the challenges themselves are fun. I often find myself delving deeper into topics discussed in the lessons and asking myself questions such as what would make this code better, more efficient, etc. I can't wait for the next courses!
Participating in this workshop has opened my mind to a different way of thinking about the websites and applications I interact with every day. Learning skills that can be applied in limitless ways has reignited my creativity and passion for learning that I had been missing for a while. I found the format of the course to be convenient and digestible. Matt's instruction is straight-forward and approachable, and the SheCodes team is very supportive. I enjoyed applying what I learned from the introductory course and then moving on to advanced front-end development and development tools. I was worried that I might not be able to keep up with the pace of this course because I work full-time, but I found the schedule and deadlines to be reasonable and achievable. Again, I greatly appreciated the timely support and words of encouragement that I received via Slack! Thank you SheCodes Team!
SheCodes was a wonderful first step into the world of coding as a woman! I felt comfortable signing up knowing this course was designed for women and I wouldn't have to worry about gender stereotypes while learning. Coding/programming is a field dominated by men so I love that this course gets women interested and gives us the ability to learn in an empowered setting. I plan on signing up for the Plus React program to continue my learning with hopes of transitioning to the field for employment.
I found the content to be useful with learning if web development will suit me for a future career. As well with looking for professional education within the field later on. Fast paced course that will suit those who are willing to put in the time and effort for a 'bootcamp' setting for learning.
I spent way too much of my life believing I shouldn't/couldn't code because "I'm not like a coder." FALSE. I'm not like what I think a coder should be in my head, but this course proved to me that literally anyone, ANYONE can and should learn to code if they want to. I absolutely love the bite-sized lessons that build on each other like Lego. The concepts are easily digestible and I looked forward to being done work so I could code every single day. I don't think I've had so much fun learning a new skill in a long time. I love the Slack community and Matt's teaching style. I highly recommend at least giving the introductory 3-week module a try if you're even the least bit curious. I can't wait to continue on to the next two modules! I got my co-worker to do it with me and she loved it as well :)
The three-week workshop was a great introduction for someone with little-to-no experience with coding. Lessons were easy to follow and provided lots practice along the way. Loved listening to Matt's cute voice too. Would highly recommend!

I think Matt is a great teacher. All the instruction was laid out in a very logical, easy-to-follow way. I'm a super busy mum with four kids running around - one is a new baby. But I still wanted to do this, even though I was a bit wary of being able to juggle it all. However, because everything laid out so well, I found it very enjoyable. I will definitely be continuing to take more SheCodes workshops.
I have always been interested in learning coding, but was never able to find something that seemed right for me. I decided to take a chance with SheCodes and I do not regret it. Matt and the SheCodes team provided a great, easy to follow step-by-step lesson plan and were always available and helpful when it came to questions. It's a bonus that they're helping to develop and support the female coding community. As a beginner, I would definitely recommend signing up for SheCodes.

I discovered SheCodes through an add that I saw on youtube. When I went on the website, I was astonished at the quality of the content, how well it was organized and the simplicity of it. I didn't know what to expect at first because I had no previous experience with coding, but I wanted to try something new that would be challenging enough to bring me out of my comfort zone, so I went ahead and choose to do the 3 Weeks Workshop Program. Now let me tell you; it was the best decision I could have ever made! I never thought that I would learn this much in only 3 weeks !!! Coding was something I never thought I would really enjoy. But when I took a python class in high school and started getting interested in coding. I decided to try the SheCodes course because I really wanted to learn how websites are made and I am really glad I did. This course gave me the necessary skills to be able to create my own blog in the future which I definitely will. I learned a lot from this workshop. There was a lot of support for when one gets stuck, and Matt's videos were easy to follow. I liked that they were short and got straight to the point. I have always been intimidated by coding, as it seemed like such a complicated thing to understand. I'm a high school student and given that I had no prior knowledge or experience with coding or HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I expected to be drowning in work by the end of the first week. I am a science teacher in my 30s. Since I was young watching my dad work I always had some fascination with coding but really had no idea how it worked. For a short 3 week course, it was an excellent introduction into coding. I am so proud of what I accomplished in a short time!

I found the courses very straight forward and easy to understand. I liked how we were introduced right away to the programs that we would be using in real life settings as well. The challenges in each section keep me motivated to learning more. As someone who had not touched coding in years, it was a great refresher, and I also found myself learning a lot of new things along the way. This has me excited to learn more in future courses, and work towards changing my career path.

This class was a solid entry-level course, but I would have preferred much more feedback and any actual interaction between student and instructor. I am also struck by the irony of creating a program to decrease the gender gap in computer programming that's taught entirely by some guy named Matt.

I am a dentist by profession,and had been sitting at home during the lockdown of 2020. My mind was figeting with the idea of learning something new. Coding always fascinated me,but intricacies were also very intimidating. I joined SheCodes workshop to get an idea if I would like to learn this further, and at the end of 3 weeks I can say that this is the most simplified and in-depth course for a even a bigenner like me. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who wants to learn coding and has zero knowledge of it(like me).
