Before embarking on the SheCodes basic course, the world of coding seemed like an insurmountable mountain to me. I wasn’t sure if I had the capability to navigate the intricate web of HTML, the finesse of CSS, or the logic behind JavaScript. I did shecodes basics last long time ago and now I decided to continue with shecodes as lessons are easy to understand and I love the idea of learning something and putting that knowledge into practice which is the best way to learn coding. I had fun doing the basics add-on workshop where I built a landing page with some JavaScript.
SheCodes React has been a challenging and sharp learning curve ! I could not be prouder of myself for completing this journey !

I honestly can't believe I've signed up, started and completed it SheCodes Basics already?! Time flew by so quickly & I wish there was more hahah! The format of the course & each lesson & class have been tremendously helpful & beneficial, allowing me to follow along with Matt & replicate what he's doing. Any time I face an error I can rewind to double check my work. Athena the AI has also been tremendously helpful resource! The team on Slack were AMAZING! And the open channels & communication really helped. I would search there as a first step and found that there were reoccurring mistake themes we all faced collectively; made me feel like I'm not alone ha-ha! I'm definitely excited to learn more

SheCodes Basics was a lot of fun and helped to fill in many gaps within my self-acquired knowledge of the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It has also given me a more comprehensive understanding of coding and what it can do. I am very thankful for the thorough explanations, the wonderful way the workshop is broken down into bite-size portions, and the fact that we are challenged and encouraged to interact further with the language beyond the lesson and make our own discoveries along the way. Assuring a student comprehends and has proper command over the language is something that is often overlooked in online workshops, so I very much appreciate Matt's method!

The workshop is organized in a way that allows us to build upon and apply what we have learned into our project. I appreciate that the instructor demonstrates how to troubleshoot when the app or website does not display as expected. It was an enjoyable experience!
This workshop really ties everything that we've learned so far together. It isn't too difficult to follow along with the videos to code alongside the instructor, and it's nice to be able to listen as he talks through how he is troubleshooting when something doesn't work as predicted.

When I first started SheCodes I had no knowledge of coding but with the help of SheCodes I have been able to change that.
Fun little project that looks nice without too much effort. It's a bit of a challenge to make it responsive without using bootstrap or the other techniques learnt in the main responsive workshop, but it's cool that Matt shows us different ways :)
I am glad I design one more project for my portfolio.

I have zero knowledge of coding and I did not give up trying to work through all the homework exercises. As a result, I completed my last final project. Seeing some of the powerful things CSS can do is amazing! This course really opens up a new world to making your project look its absolute best. First impressions are very important and completing this course has allowed my first impressions to be on point.

Years ago I had no clue what coding really was and once I got a bit more of an idea of it I knew it was something I wanted to learn and understand. About 2 years ago I came across a SheCodes ad offering a free coding class and I checked it out to see what coding was really about. I was very interested after the webinar lesson but didn't have the time to commit to it at that time because of college classes but now that I've graduated I knew this summer I had to take the SheCodes course. The lessons were comprehensive and fun and really made me feel like I had a special talent lol. I would totally recommend SheCodes to anyone who has no clue what coding is but would like to learn. Now I can't look at any webpage the same without thinking "I could make a button like that." and opening 'inspect' on every page and feeling amazed that I can understand what I'm looking at. SheCodes is a 10 out of 10!🤩
It was a not easy but great journey through React. Excite to keep studying React and learning more.
This was one of my favorite projects to build, I am extremely grateful to be a part of the SheCodes community, this course reiterated so many react principles, and having to use some of these principles over and over again surely made me understand react a bit better. This course made learning the basics of code so easy. For me, the best way to learn is by practicing so the projects assigned to us were a huge help. It's given me the drive and confidence to strive for reaching my full potential as a full stack developer.

SheCodes was my first try at learning to code and I loved it! If I hadn't gone to their free seminar online I never would have discovered my love for coding and computer science. The lessons are well explained and the projects are enjoyable, at a good level for beginners. Would recommend it to anyone with an interest in coding who doesn't know where to start or is looking to upgrade their skills with one of the other workshops :)
Just like the previous workshops, this one left me feeling more confident to start my professional coding journey!

Thank you for the SheCodes Next course, it was really very useful and necessary. Since often after passing various training courses there are many questions about finding a job. SheCodes Next helped me understand these issues and draw up an accurate plan of action in my job search.

I recently got hired for a new and exciting role in my school division (I am a teacher) as an Educational Technology Coordinator. A part of my role will also be working with computers and computer science, so I wanted to get a headstart this summer on improving my basic coding skills. From the first webinar, I knew that SheCodes would be a great program fit for me. You can go at your own pace, however, I found it really easy to complete the lessons and homework earlier than anticipated. The entire SheCodes Basics program was so easy to follow - I loved the lessons and Matt is a wonderful teacher who explains things. You can tell he is very passionate about coding and has so much knowledge to share. I learned many practical tips. The homework is challenging, however, with supports like the Slack channel and Athena AI, I had no issues. I've decided that after completing the Basics Program, I am definitely going to continue my SheCodes journey! I cannot wait to continue to learn and grow with this program. This community of women is very inspiring.
