I am happy I also decided to do SheCodes Max Basic, had I feel more confident going further into coding with as much knowledge as possible!
This is my first opportunity to learn how to code. SheCodes taught me the different languages of coding. I learned how to design a webpage with links and buttons, which was a lot of fun to learn. This course has givien me confidence because I've learned a computer language that not everybody knows. I definitely want to continue to learn more so that I have an opportunity of finding work in this field.
Learning has never felt so smooth!
SheCodes' teaching structure works very nicely by offering bite sized pieces of knowledge and offering an opportunity to practice, which does well not to overwhelm me as a student learning a new skill. I'm looking forward to continue my coding journey!

I tried out SheCodes because I wanted to get a taste for the subject of coding and see if I liked it without spending big amounts of money to go to a university. Matt does a great job of making the lessons understandable while still providing little challenges that push you to explore further and keep you engaged in the material. I can't wait to get started on SheCodesPlus!

SheCodes was a great introduction to Front End Developing.
The team does an excellent job explaining the components with lots of buildable examples to help train the concepts and makes it easy to learn.
After taking the introductory workshop, I was engrossed in the functionality of coding. This upgraded course increased my foundational knowledge and opened more doors into JS and fundamental web development.
I had so much fun with this workshop and in only a short amount of time, I feel incredibly empowered and informed and excited about deepening my understanding and expanding my creative reach thru coding. Very grateful to be enrolled in this program.

An excellent course that explains everything in detail)
This course is amazingly done and I would highly recommend to everyone who wants to try themselves in the field of coding. All materials are explained in details from basics. You can start from easy phrases gradually going up to building your own webpage.Videos all recorded in friendly and clear manner. This course almost killed my fear of coding and programming and built confidence of learning this new field with excitement.

The SheCodes Basics Workshops were overall a great experience for me as they gave me both the great foundation of learning HTML, JavaScript, and CSS that was fun to learn and easy to follow (Matt is a great instructor!) and getting more excited and interested in the world of coding! I really enjoyed SheCodes Basics. In college, I had taken a coding class as part of my program-and while I enjoyed coding- my focus was elsewhere, so I never took the time to fully learn beyond what was required. Matt and SheCodes has helped me re-learn the basics, reignited my interest in coding, and was clear and fun in the process.
I took graphic design in college, which included multiple semesters of coding. I sincerely feel that I've absorbed more information in the SheCodes basics program than I ever did in the college courses. It's taught in a way that really works for me, and I love that I can work at my own pace. I'm so excited to keep learning!π
Enjoyed taking this 3 week course a lot. I've taken other coding workshops that cover the same topics and was never able to digest everything the way I have with the basic program. Everything you learn is so digestible and gives you a chance to apply what you are learning in real time to your exercises. Highly recommend anyone who wants to learn to try out the basics program

This is an excellent workshop for an introduction to coding. All the lessons were helpful and it is entirely beginner level. I am very comfortable with coding and I have improved my problem solving skills as I tried to find solutions without asking the crew all the time. This was a great introduction into the world of coding. I honestly wasn't sure if I could do it at first but with the ability to go back to specific classes, the SheCodes resource section, having detailed solutions and now Athena. I realized I could code and have fun doing it!

I can't believe it but I actually coded an entire webpage! Every now and then I need to build a landing page for my job and while we use templates and software to help with the heavy lifting, understanding the basics of HTML and CSS has made my life so much easier... Especially when I want to make a simple tweak like adjusting an image size. The course is broken down into comprehensive bite-sized chunks. Solutions and examples really helped me along in practicing and completing homework assignments. I really like that Matt has created practical tools, and encourages us to be self-sufficient in solving problems by pointing us to helpful resources. Highly recommended for anyone in digital marketing, or has a website!
I joined SheCodes just a few weeks ago, and I didn't know what was in store. As I did the lessons, and the challenges that came with I grew more and more confident. Learning to code even the basics has opened up my eyes to a whole new world. SheCodes is a great platform, with the team on slack ready to help. Since I became interested in learning how to code I thought the final product of creating a page was going to be very far down the line. After trying to learn on my own, I found the basics course in SheCodes and it made it so much clear to comprehend. I took another coding course with a different company a few months ago, and this one blew it out of the water. It was using different programming languages so it might not be fair to compare, but all of the concepts were explained so well here that it actually felt easy from beginning to end.

Simple and digestible! This workshop was an excellent choice to begin learning the fundamentals. I liked how brief the videos were. I also liked how each video ended with a challenge to put what I had just learned into practice. I feel like the basics workshopΒ has given me a solid foundation in CSS/HTML/JavaScript that I can build on with the help of other workshops and Googling. The lecturer is also excellent at explaining things, and if you ever get stuck on something, the Slack group is extremely helpful.

Before knowing SheCodes, I wasted my money on Facebook courses about coding because they are all theoretical and boring. SheCodes allow me to do hand-on practices with supports from the team.
This workshop went through the basics of html, css, and Javascript in an extremely digestible and well-paced way. I now have the confidence and motivation to further pursue learning how to code. I came into this with 0 knowledge of coding, and can now have conversations with my friends who are software engineers and can relate to what they are saying!! I loved this course.
SheCodes basics was a good way to revise the few things I had learned here and there with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. It solidified my basics and I learned new things too. The videos are clear and easy to follow, and it gives me a lot of motivation to continue learning. The deadline given for every homework is a really good way to stay motivated!

I have been looking for a career change for a while where I can learn new things every time. I'm from a hospitality background where everything can be very repetitive. I'm glad I found the SheCodes, I never thought I will enjoy coding this much not knowing anything about it before. I thought it was very hard to learn but Matt made it very easy to understand.
