Great workshop but do expect (and it's normal) to do your own individual work and reasearch extensively on google whatever you need to understand more in depth. And don't forget to check out the source code after each video, it's a great source of learning!

I tried learning js during the quarantine and loved it. I even started making my own site IlearnRussian.net However, I realized that my knowledge needs to be consolidated and sharpened by mentors, so I'm trying to find a school. JS is not an easy language to master for me, and I would love to learn from teachers. (So far I've been learning on my own). During quarantine two years ago, I watched a video, where I heard about html, googled it, didn't understand the explanation, searched it on youtube, watched videos and practiced, was surprised that it's so simple, and gradually got from html / css to js. Since I have a project I'm interested in, I started working on that. I teach foreign languages, focusing on teaching Russian for foreigners. So I started working on a site teaching Russian to foreigners (IlearnRussian.net). The things there are what I did on my own, a project I learned by watching a youtube video, or a code I googled on the internet.

I had no previous knowledge of coding and this was a great way to get a taste of it and learn the basics!
This course was sooo much fun!! Personally I found it very difficult to study coding by myself on a disciplined and organised level - so the course really helped me build the base and got me even more excited to learn more! thanks so much π₯³
After SheCodes Basics convinced me to continue on my coding journey. The lessons are very well structured in short videos followed by a mini challenge. Matt does a great job of explaining everything so it's super easy to follow. I also appreciate the speed his team has in answering questions in Slack. Everyone has been nothing but helpful and encouraging.
Thanks to SheCodes I discovered a fun and easy way to learn how to programme and I'm looking forward to learn more on the next course. The short and smart videos of Matt are also great. I've tried other coding courses before, and I can 100% say this is the one where I understood most and felt the desire to finish. It's fun, the community is awesome, and the teacher is great! Also, the radio keeps you focused and energized! Loved the music selection! Would 10/10 recommend SheCodes!
Previously I tried to educate myself on learning how to Code from other Website, but unfortunately I found the information given was very overwhelming and I believed to myself that maybe I'm just not cut out to learn this set of skills, until I came across SheCode where they offered a Basic Course that is offered at a reasonable price, just to figure out whether this is something I could learn or not, and it figures out that I am capable! The Project was so much fun!!
I was a bit sceptical at first because I thought it would be something complex and difficult to understand, as I have been struggling to learn html and css. This course helped me understand the basics in a simple and concise way. Matt is a great instructor and I have already learned a lot. The courses are well structured, easy to understand and fun, which is important to me.

I am an emerging developer and SheCodes has really helped me to come forward and grow faster in the FrontEnd direction. I really like the challanges after almost every video and the homework, it helps you to brainstorm. I highly recommend this to anyone whos fairly new to the world of coding and would like to grow in this direction. I really hope that soon SheCodes could also start courses in backend direction for languages like Java or Python.. :)

I was a bit fearful at the beginning but everytime I did the challenges I became more and more invested in coding. It was an interesting journey and I never expected how fun coding can be!
This workshop has helped me immensely because of its flexibility and it being online. I've gained back a lot of confidence in my skills and it's genuinely very well made! I didn't use the slack community much as I didn't need it but I think it's very well structured for absolute beginners, and to make them feel less intimidated by codingπ

SheCodes has been one of the most empowering things I have undertaken in the past year. I have always wanted to learn the basics of coding. As a graphic designer, I collaborate with programers and developers on a regular basis and learning their "language" will greatly enhance communication and collaboration. I am considering taking the advanced workshop now that I am done with the basic workshop. The classes are so easy to follow and the challenges at the end make them really interactive and worthwhile. I couldn't recommend this workshop more.

This course is very well structured and perfect for women who want to learn coding on the side as the course is fully remote and you can work on it flexibly. The team is incredibly helpful and quick when you get stuck in a task. At some points during the course however, I was struggling to follow the logic of the code structure and to understand the warnings in the console, which was oftentimes frustrating as well as a lot of trial and error. But I guess that is normal in the process of learning to code.
The workshop was fun and I learned a lot. Can highly recommend it.
They certainly kept their word. I, who had no knowledge of coding before, enjoyed coding a lot thanks to clear, clean, and entertaining explanations. First of all, a big thank you to the SheCodes team and Matt Delac. I will continue to learn on the coding path with SheCodes.

Great start of the year! It was awesome to finally being able to create my own website. Matt explains very well and I could follow his instructions easily.
It's a very good workshop to learn the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the challenges are fun, and you learn nice tricks that alone you wouldn't. If you are new at coding, it's very easy to feel overwhelmed by the quantity of new information you have to learn, so It's really nice to have someone helping you navigate through all of this.
Great workshop and can't wait to continue! Matt makes it easy to learn and understand the concept on various aspect of HTML/CSS/JavaScript. So far so great π€©

Great introduction into the world of coding! Always thought coding is hard but turns out if you have a great class to follow it is much easier than expected. The introduction course was well designed and I will continue with my coding journey.
As always learning with SheCodes is simply fun! The videos and challenges are perfectly divided into manageable bits and the course material is so nicely structured, clear and straightforward. Matt is very good in explaining the topics and the team helping via Slack is just doing a fantastic job. What makes this so enjoyable is that you can move forward at your own pace while still feeling perfectly guided. It's so great to see the progress when building towards a final project and being able to shape your own ideas with CSS and Bootstrap in this course!

SheCodes is the best option to learn in my opinion. Before this workshop, I was shy to participate in this kind of training. Now I know that with dedication and adequate support, it's possible. Whenever I saw code somewhere, I thought, "I'll never understand this, it's not for me". The SheCodes basics workshop helped me realize that code, like any other language, makes sense if I just spend some time learning it.
Amazingly well structured and easy to follow course! I would highly recommend it to anyone who is working in a tech-savvy environment or is aspiring to do so. Starting with zero prior experience, I have graduated the basics course feeling confident about understanding the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and Java Script and had alots of fun testing, failing and succeeding along the way!

I joined SheCodes to have a first experience in coding as recommended by some friends. Matt is an excellent professor and it's amazing to have such a strong support from the SheCodes team whenever I got stuck in coding. I also loved the other SheCodes tools such as the Radio, the Color Wheel, the Gradient Wheel, among many others. What started as curiosity has totally become a real interest in coding and I'll certainly be joining other SheCodes Workshops to improve my coding skills π©βπ»

I was a technical Recruiter for four years and came to know about coding and the IT world through recruiting.I was always fascinated about it and wondering if I could do that aswell. I have been wanting to get into coding for a long time..but there have not been many options without the proper background in this field + without having to sacrifice your fulltime job etc for it.Therefore i was very happy see an ad about shecode. I enrolled and wow. What an amazing experience sofar. Easy, understandable and perfectly explained lessons..i love to attend each lesson and am even excited after work to go to my class/next lesson and finally to my project end of the week:) looking forward to the rest of the journey!!

I loved how structured the workshop was. It was easy to follow Matt's instructions and the challenges set a good pace. The deadlines keep you motivated and the community (staff and other coders) are such a wonderful bunch. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone!
