The SheCodes Basics Add-On provided me with extra techniques and tools to improve my coding abilities. It was a great asset and the final project was really challenging but also really rewarding :)
Taking this course was the best thing I could have done. I've learnt so much over the weeks and it's certainly been a challenge. I can't describe how grateful I am to SheCodes for what I'm learning and how it's changed my life, giving me new skills, confidence and a passion for technology
I found that this Add-On to the Basics course was much more than what I was expecting! It gave me important tools I didn't even know I would be able to learn in such a short period of time. Matt's explanations were, as always, super clear and easy to follow!

Very interesting workshop. AI is a hot topic, learning how to create a generator based on this technology is extremely valuable as well as fun. It feels like a natural prosecution of the Plus program, I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed learning Vanilla Javascript, although it was a bit challeging. In my opinion, comparing to SheCodes Basics, it requires a lot of time and research in other platforms for ending this project in time, which I had some difficulty. Overall, it was a productive workshop.
I embarked on a journey with SheCodes with no prior experience in coding, and with doubts about my ability to grasp this complex skill. However, SheCodes was a great surprise and provided me with an illuminating and enjoyable learning experience. Through their teaching methods, I discovered the fun side of coding and realized that it is indeed an accessible skill for anyone willing to learn. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone looking to embark on a coding adventure, regardless of their initial level of experience.

Plus Add-On is a great addition to the Plus workshop. On this workshop I've worked on a world clock with a setp by step guidance from Matt. The Javascript time zone manipulation is a bit more challenging but it's also very satisfying to learn and to see it working. I'm very motivated to keep learning how to code with SheCodes!
I had no prior knowledge about coding so this was a great introduction to me. It can feel overwhelming for a beginner sometimes but the fact that we have challenges in almost every section helps us in our learning path and I am eager to proceed with my coding journey :)

I've really enjoyed the SheCodes Plus workshop. Mattheau is really good at explaining everything and has a great logic on how to introduce and relate each topic in a way that it all makes sense and is easy to understand. The workshop is well paced and structured. I work a full time job but still I was able to complete the SheCodes Plus in less than 5 weeks. I am a beginner and before the course had zero knowledge in coding, but Matt explained everything step by step knowing what mistakes beginners usually do and prevented them. I really like it! Matt makes coding really really fun and exciting. I also like that all the challenges really require a bit of Google or analyzing, not just re-creacting stuff. This is how I have learnt something extra stuff. I also like that after every challenge we can watch a solution and there is always something new there. Thank you so much! SheCodes Plus has been extremely interesting as well as challenging learning experience. We dove deep into JavaScript and built a functioning weather app from scratch. Matt is a great teacher and it is a pleasure learning with him.
SheCodes videos are very clear and Matt is explaining everything in details which makes it easy to understand. Watching a video and then doing a challenge is like a game that I've enjoyed so much. It's very exciting to learn to code with SheCodes and I highly recommend the Workshops for everyone that is interested in learning to code. If you ever think that it is too difficult, join the Free Coding Class and you will have a clear explanation of how you can learn to code step by step.
I had no experience with coding before and this 'basics' course amazed me! I can say I have the basis to achieve the goals I want! I'm really excited to see what's to come on the next ones!

The eye cathcy name of this platform made me sign up for a basic course , which I truly enjoyed overall. The pace could be somehow too fast for someone that is making first steps in coding , but in a same time it is motivating. This course could be a tool to practice time managment , self -discipline ...what I missed here , as in any other online course I suppose is live interaction with the mentor, asking Why question , and generally I would imagine myself taking further step with coding- offline, rather than with prerecorded lessons...however for people enjoying online learning enviromnet I would greatly recommend SheCodes platform. Over the month I got basic insight in HTML, CSS and Java Script. Doing the final project was pure joy and happines ! Thanks for that :)

Having no prior experience in coding, I found this workshop extremely accessible and informative. I was able to learn quickly and any question I had was answered by the lessons itself.

I loved doing the SheCodes Basics so had to try the Ad-on as well. Although I was a little confused at first with the JavaScript, the video classes and all the assistance available on the website make it so easy to get my doubts answered and I ended up doing my final project in no time. Super excited for the next SheCodes workshop!
It was soooo fun! I always was curious about the coding process and the classes were very easy to understand! Matt is a really good teacher! I loved it!
I liked that we coded this website without bootstrap, it was a nice challenge! I also appreciate that we were provided with a few designs with Figma.
How to learn code for beginners is always a challenge! But the methodology used by Matt and his team helps a lot. You can learn, practice, and get advice on your code. Looking forward to joining next workshops :)

I loved this workshop, it helped me to improve my JS skills a lot. I found it quite challenging and specially interesting, it was my favourite so far.
I had minimal coding experience and never expected to be able to create a webpage in less than three weeks, honestly!
The Basics Add-on was a useful workshop, providing extra knowledge that is necessary for designing websites that are more visually appealing and current. The additional material has greatly improved my comprehension of HTML&CSS and given me the tools I need to create websites that are not only up to date with modern design principles but also have an enhanced visual appeal. This extension to the basics ensured a more comprehensive and contemporary approach to web development.
The add-ons really help bring everything from the workshop together. I definitely feel more confident after completing.

This course is a journey, for sure. I went from feeling extremely frustrated to overjoyed in seconds by just being able to figure out Javascript functions. ๐ช I'm really proud of the end result and of myself for understanding something that used to break my brain. And, of course, the self-pacing aspect will always be a plus, especially when life happens and you need an extension ๐ค
We usually have the wrong idea about coding: it's all Math and you need to be super intelligent and nerdy to do it. I have a Bachelor in Languages so I never thought coding was for me. That was only until I joined SheCodes free class and then took on SheCodes Basic. I'm glad to have stepped out of my comfort zone! I believe the more advanced workshops need to be taken to start working with coding (never stop learning!). But I do see practical applications in my day-to-day of the new skills I've just acquired! Thank you!

In fact, I've always been curious about programming and SheCodes has made it very easy to understand the concepts and made it easier to code and follow along. Matt's teaching style is very intuitive and easy to understand! I highly recommend this course as a starting point and look forward to completing the advanced courses.
SheCodes is such an immersive workshop. Here we learned about the moment.js library, built to simplify the retrieval of data concerning times and timezones across the globe. I had a lot of fun building the World Clock App using this amazing tool.

I'm really happy with the way everything is explained by Matt and I feel like I've learned the essentials for me to continue this journey on my own :)
I had two major problems with this course. First, they don't teach you how to display the current weather and forecast in both Celsius and Fahrenheit (they only teach you how to do it for the current weather). Second, I had a full stack software engineer who also mentors software engineers review the code and he said it was really bad code. That we were taught really bad practices. Considering my only exposure to coding has been SheCodes and I followed along with Matt, I believe this reflects badly on the curriculum. I have done the entire SheCodes program, from the basics to the max workshops. They have a team that reviews the homework assignments and give you either a thumbs up or a thumbs down if it was done correctly. I have only ever received a thumbs up. I am really disappointed. The whole purpose of me joining SheCodes was to prepare myself for a career change. Now, I have to start over from scratch trying to learn clean coding practices.
It was my first time with coding and the workshop was really easy to understand and to follow and you can learn at your own pace, which was something that I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed very much the challenges after each lesson and the homeworks. Seeing how my code turns out is very satisfying and it gave me a lot of pleasure to do the final project.

I would recommend SheCodes to anyone woman that is interested in learning to code. I've been contemplating it for so long, but I never found any course that seemed manageable let alone appealing. SheCodes is taught in an easy to understand and approachable manner. The SheCodesPlus course was a challenging but incredibly rewarding journey. The course's hands-on approach helps provide a solid foundation in web development. Here we created a weather application based on HTML, CSS and vanilla Javascript and ventured through the world of API and real data. This is a nice addition to the Basics workshop! I've learnt new CSS techniques that will eventually help my projects look much better. I'm not really into the CSS transform properties and the fancy backgrounds because I think that they are too "noisy". However, it's good to know how to work with these tools for future reference. I really enjoyed doing the final project and appreciate the fact that it looks really good and much more interactive for the user. It was nice to have Matt's support throughout the project development.
SheCodes Basics has been an amazing learning experience and opportunity. It is quite hard to believe that after only a couple of weeks I have been able to code my first website from scratch! I believe the program is well structured and especially well explained: Matt is a great teacher, clear, concise and linear. Lastly, I particularly appreciated the Challenges at the end of each class: it is quite a game changer, as it helps a lot to keep yourself involved and on track.
This second project was amazing. After finishing Shecodes Basic I didn't know how to continue, but making this addon gave me a lot of confidence. Now I am completely sure that this is the right way. SheCodes has a very dynamic way of learning, you learn better while practicing and in this workshop we have a lot of room to make mistakes and learn with them.
I've enjoyed every single second of this workshop!!! ๐ The lessons are very well structured and paced. Matt has a natural talent for teaching, he just makes everything very easy to understand with real-life examples.
