I found through SheCodes a newbie-friendly, well explained and very interactive platform to breakdown what looked like a complete alien language. A very fun an light way to learn. Definitely recommend! I'm very grateful to have found this Website and to "meet" Matt.
I had the honor of participating in this workshop on HTML, CSS and JS and it was an exciting experience. The instructors had a great command of the material and offered clear and understandable explanations. During the workshop, I learned many interesting tricks and techniques that allow you to create attractive and functional web pages. It was especially exciting to learn about the possibilities of using JavaScript to provide dynamism and user interaction.
I had so much more fun completing this workshop than I thought I would. I already knew some coding, so I thought the Basics workshop would be a bit repetitive, but it taught me so many new things and being able to create my own small website from scratch all by myself is so incredibly fulfilling! I really liked the way the workshop was structured, all the little tips, websites and tools it showed us and the small challenges along the way.
Fantastic loved learning everything!

Learning to code is a lot of fun, but also very challenging. SheCodes, the team and Matt do a great job here and explain in detail how things work, but also give you the opportunity to figure out a few things by yourself or let's say let you try. But even if you are not able to do it by yourself at some point you have support helping you and always get a solution for the challenge/homework you had. This way you see exactly what has been down. Learning React has been a super challenging experience. This add-on allowed me to advance my knowledge and skills.
Great workshop!! Lessons are clear and short with step-by-step explanations so you can easily follow. A big plus for the flexibility regarding lessons, homework, deadlines (not always easy to meet when you have other activities). I was already a little familiar with some of the coding languages and this course only confirmed my will to pursue a career in that area :-)
SheCodes was A M A Z I N G! I used to love Math when I was a kid so going through this course reminded me of that. Topics are explained brilliantly and Matt is a very good Prof! I can't believe I managed to achieve to have finished this course. Best teachers are those that makes difficult argument easy for students :)

Iβm very happy to join SheCodes . During the three weeks I studied coding ,it takes a while to sink in understanding the lessons since this is my first time to experience coding.But it encouraged me to learn more as SheCodes had the best tools in teaching.
It's been amazing learning how to do stuff in JavaScript, HTML and CSS and see the things you imagine come true on your weather web page.
This is the second add-on I have completed, and once again I have learned new things. It was very good!
Challenging but worthwhile!!
Learning React has been one of the biggest challenges in this code journey. It really helps structuring several pieces of JavaScript with components. Although it was complicated to understand at first, it is something very powerful to acquire in order to simplify and divide code to build bigger and sophisticated web applications.
There were so many things that I wished would have been different, that it would take me a really long time to mention them all. Most importantly: I really thing the videos should be revised. There are things that are outdated (like using clearfix) and no longer in use, tools that now have different versions (like bootstrap and netlify) which makes it harder to follow through the videos. But the lowest point is the lack of proper feedback on homework and (even more shocking for me) the final projects. It's "your solution works" kind of feedback. Personally, as someone who is learning to code, it's not *just* about the code working, I could really use feedback on how I could write it more clearly, etc. Otherwise I could just use an html/css/js validator and get pretty much the same answer. It's really a shame and I hope it changes in the future, because otherwise what's the difference between doing this or a full curse on udemy that costs 15β¬? One really wonders. Also bear in mind that unless you have nothing else going on in your life, 5 days a week is not enough to complete the week.

I believe SheCodes certification was a great step on my way to IT industry. As a Product Manager, who's just starting my career, it was essential for me to understand the basics of software development, of the logics how it works. I'm happy I found such a fun way to learn it!

SheCodes Basic Workshop is an amazing way for someone to begin to understand coding, to learn it and actually to enjoy it. I have such a great time and it was very well organised with a lot of support.

SheCodes Responsive Add-On was the perfect follow-up to the SheCodes Responsive course! It gave me the tools to further develop my responsive skills and it though it was challenging it was very rewarding!
I came across the SheCodes Course through my University (NovaSBE). Before that i had some brief lessons from my front-end colleague in my lunch break. Now with the course i can put the things i have learned previously together. I really enjoyed the course and most likely will continue to learn coding! I am having a lot of fun creating websites myself and will most likely be happy to use most of the content i have gained in my current job as an E-commerce manager as well (I am taking care of the Website development through Shopify). Thank you so much for this experience!
It was an amazing workshop, where I learned how to make a pure responsive landing page using only html and css. I've learned a lot and had so much fun. matt explained everything really well, and it was very easy to understand everything.
I was a little bit worried I wouldn't be able to follow (what's before absolute beginner?), but 3 weeks later I am so glad I went for it! I was immediately hooked by the workshop and looked forward to login in at the end of the day. Matt's lessons are remarkably clear and engaging, and I loved being able to immediately apply my newly acquired knowledge in the exercises. SheCodes allowed me to surprise myself and make myself proud, I had way more fun than I ever thought I would while learning how to code. It's not that complicated, after all!

It was really fun and empowering creating a website with just HTML and CSS. I feel like I'm starting to get a deeper understanding of how everything works. I made a website that acts as a one-stop-shop for latin dance lovers in Lisbon. It has information on classes and regular parties. Just last night, someone from dance class said how hard it is to know about the parties happening around the city. It was so cool being able to help him out by directing him to a website I created.
It was a great learning experience and I really enjoyed the responsive course!

Before SheCodes I used several free online websites to learn HTML, CSS and javascript, and I have to say I am very impressed with SheCodes. Matt has a very clear way of teaching and also stimulates his students to search online for solutions to their coding problems, which is a very realistic way to enter the programming world and learn how to be independent while coding. With SheCodes Basics, I have discovered a new set of useful tools (e.g. info for CSS color palettes and gradients) that I had never encountered on free online websites. I am looking forward to the next workshops.
I feel that this week of add-on has helped me to take my coding to the next level. I can already see a tremendous evolution from my first project. Thank you!
