When I started the SheCodes Basics workshop, I was a little frustrated because I thought I couldn't do it. As I continued to practice and follow the lessons each week, I gradually gained confidence. I'm so glad I stuck with it and completed the workshop. It was definitely worth the time and effort. The skills I gained and the confidence I built have made a real difference in my coding journey.

The SheCodes Plus Add-on was an excellent way to build on what I learned in SheCodes Plus. The World Clock project helped me apply JavaScript concepts to a real-world scenario and better understand how to work with time zones and live data. It was a fun and rewarding challenge that strengthened my coding confidence a lot.

I recently completed the SheCodes bootcamp, and it's been a game-changer for me! I started with zero coding experience, and now I feel confident building my own projects.
I enjoyed this bootcamp, it has given me a solid foundation to start my journey in web development.
In this workshop, i learnt about how to make my own AI generator where i find it very interesting and fulfilling . I learnt a lot and it can get a bit challenging at times but Matt's step by step guide and explanation is really helpful. I am looking forward for the next workshop!

For me, it was a wonderful experience learning how to code. I thoroughly enjoyed the activities, which were challenging. Those challenges led me to go further and think about my next steps.
Building this dictionary app was a fantastic deep dive into core React concepts. I went from understanding the theory to applying it in a real, functional project. The foundation was built on breaking the UI into reusable components and managing the flow of information between them using props. A huge part of this project was managing state with the useState hook. I used it for everything from tracking the user's search term to handling loading and error states. I got a lot of practice with rendering dynamic data by mapping over arrays from the API to display lists of definitions, synonyms, and photos. I also implemented more advanced features, like conditional rendering to show results only after a search and handling user events to create an interactive, clickable photo gallery.
Overall not a bad course, but I personally found some parts difficult to follow, because English is not my first language and it obviously isn't the teacher's either, so sometimes he would go on a bit of a tangent or start rambling and it would be be quite hard to understand what he's trying to say, especially if he's introducing new concepts.
It was a beautiful put together learning experience that get's you exploring and thinking outside the box. As a beginner in the Tech world, I would recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to start and cannot afford to pay for bootcamps. It's a great foundation phase.
This has boosted my confidence in my knowledge of coding.

Although the course began with a few unforeseen hurdles, it quickly became clear that the material was both intellectually stimulating and genuinely engaging. Itβs not just about writing code anymore - itβs about creating experiences. Iβm proud of how far Iβve come, and even more excited about where Iβm headed. Every line of code now feels like a conversation with the world.
The workshops have become slightly more challenging, but the way the lessons are taught make things incredibly more bearable.
SheCodes Plus was very detailed and I learned a lot. The way Matt breaks down the lessons step-by-step and helps you to really understand how each component works is excellent. I have tried to learn Javascript before and my eyes glazed over and my brain exploded, but the way Matt explains it makes it enjoyable and easy to digest. I also really enjoyed learning how real coders deploy their code and the terminology and tools they use. I really enjoyed this course and I highly recommend it.
A practical, fun course that gets results fast!
Python Advanced was definitely the hardest concept for me to grasp and truly understand. Data filtering was especially challenging. It took real effort to make sense of what each line of code did and why it worked. However, following the video lessons and completing the challenges eventually made the concepts much easier to understand. The best part? You can always go back to review the solutions and try everything again. I love that there's no pressure to get everything immediately rightand that's what makes SheCodes great. This course is absolutely worth it because the skills apply directly to real-world projects!

In less than 3 weeks, I've gone from never hearing of Visual Studio Code to being able to form a complete, interative website with a wide range of elements.

In the summary of the workshop Matt said, βIf you feel frustrated, take a break and come back.β and I took many breaks, βIf you run out of inspiration, take a walk and come back.β and I took many runs, and I came back. This project was very challenging, design is not my strongest suit, and positioning is my nemesis. Facing both demons at once tested my patience and grit. Iβm not sure how I feel about my final design yet, but I am proud that I finished it. Maybe with more practice and experience, Iβll create something with more polish, but for now, completing it feels like sweet victory.
As someone whoβs built a career in both financial services administration and the events industry, Iβve always loved working in fast-paced, detail-driven environments. Stepping into the world of coding has opened up a whole new side of that energy, one where creativity meets logic and every challenge sparks curiosity. I have enjoyed progressing through the SheCodes Plus course, which has expanded my knowledge beyond the basics and introduced me to more advanced concepts, such as API integration. Although the vanilla weather app project was challenging, it has boosted my confidence in building interactive websites from scratch, without relying on external libraries or frameworks. The learning curve was steep with this one. I feel like we learned a ton of advanced concepts, and I wish we got more in depth with some of them. Especially with the creating of a dictionary using the csv file. I'll deff be doing some outside research with that. Overall it was a good experience and I learned a lot of new, useful information!

I've absolutely loved learning from the SheCodes Basics workshops. It's tested me many times but I already feel I'm growing in confidence with my coding knowledge and am excited to continue with further workshops.
I learned alot in this workshop. I tried to learn react in other platforms. But I am admitting that this workshop was the most intuitive and it had easy to understand flow. Thanks sheCodes team and Matt for teaching us in this way. It is very easy to grasp things. React itself is very difficult but I think I grasped most of the concepts by heart.
