Built the website from scratch without using Bootstrap. It was tough at times, but I learned a lot and the result was worth it!!!

After having completed all SheCodes front-end workshops and having had a lot of fun with those, I decided to also give Python a try. So far, it didn't let me down. I really enjoyed the web development course, especially the practical approach of building a weather application. Working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and integrating an API gave me valuable hands-on experience. The way this course is organized makes it easy to learn and to pick things up very quickly. There are so many resources to use and great examples to help you understand how to apply what you are learning. The challenges and projects are both fun and engaging. I often lose track of time while I'm working through them. There are also many ways to get help or talk to others for advice. Even though it's online, I never feel like I'm doing it alone. It makes me feel like a career change at any age is not only possible, but exciting.

Rebuilding the weather app in Python this time has been great for consolidating my learning, and building my confidence. Matt's approach makes the learning and challenges so much easier to understand than other ways I've tried to learn to code.

This lesson helped me understand how front-end and backend systems connect. It also improved my confidence in working with external APIs and interpreting JSON data. The SheCodes Plus AI Workshop was a great way to brush up on my knowledge of working with AI tools as I had previously taken the Python AI workshop. While some of the topics around AI and prompt writing were familiar, this course gave me the chance to apply them using JavaScript instead. I especially appreciated the hands-on approach to API integration and front-end development. As a final project, I created an AI poem generator, which brought together everything we covered in a practical and creative way. It was a worthwhile experience for deepening my understanding of AI in a new coding environment.

I found the course very interesting and am amazed to be able to create a digital clock with real-time data. There is still a lot for me to learn and improve my skills. But, overall I really enjoyed every moment of the lessons, assignments, and project.

This is a challenging course and opens your eyes to the world of React coding. Patience is key. I feel I need more practice with React coding to fully understand it, as I required a lot of help from the Slack community to complete this project. However, I am proud to have finished it.
