Coming back to SheCodes after 3 years feels amazing. I was glad to find the Basics-Add-On workshop that helped me revisit what I had learned before and more. I had such a great time doing this workshop. Now that I had some background, it was more fun. I am looking forward to more revisions and rest of the workshops. As usual, Matt is an awesome teacher. The Responsive classes was so much fun! I had always wondered how websites were made for smaller devices, and this workshop really tested my ability to think how something I design would work across a multitude of screen sizes.

She Codes Plus Add-On is yet another excellent workshop that expands and deepens your coding knowledge. Throughout the workshop, we explored advanced topics in HTML and JavaScript. We learned all about HTML input types, which improve form usability, and the HTML select element, essential for dropdown menus. Whilst looking at JavaScript we learned all about timing events, how to date formats and handle time zones. Overall, this workshop is well-structured, engaging, and practical, making it a great choice for those looking to expand their coding skill set.

I am glad to have done this SheCodes course. I was unsure whether or not I would even like coding before starting, but this course has introduced me to a field I would have otherwise not paid attention to. I appreciated and enjoyed learning all the materials and working on the weekly homeworks and final project. Definitely considering tackling the more advanced courses!

Going forward and diving deeper into the lessons, everything became even more exciting! Advancing further into the course, especially as I broke into JavaScript for the first time, was both refreshing and empowering. It felt like a real breakthrough moment for me — fun, engaging, and perfectly paced for learning something entirely new with confidence.

Learning how to work with grids and how to do a dark theme was really helpful! Great addition to the basics workshop.

This was a very challenging at times but fun course. I started SheCodes in hopes that I can change my career into something more aligned with who I am and my interests and I feel confident I chose the best program to launch me in the right direction. I was worried I wouldn't remember it all for the final project but I really surprised myself with what I did remember and was able to research anything I was unsure of or go back to past lessons. The step-by-step instructions were very helpful, especially since I had to take a break from JavaScript for several months. They made it easy to follow along and get back into coding. However, I think adding a few more exercises to solve independently would help reinforce the concepts and make the learning experience more effective.

It was very fun to learn how to use AI. The module explained everything step by step, which made it very easy to understand and follow. I really enjoyed creating prompts to get the appropriate result.

Joining SheCodes was one of the best decisions I've made. The way Matt broke down HTML, CSS and JavaScript made everything feel really approachable. Great for advancing your coding knowledge!

I had a great time working on this project, it was one of the hardest for me personally. I had to start over countless times, because I wanted a perfect project. I built a responsive World Clock using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the Moment.js and Moment-Timezone libraries. I am grateful to the SheCodes team for being able to say all these technical terms and know exactly what they mean because the lessons were easy to understand and apply.

SheCodes has honestly been a game-changer for me! I’ve learned so much in such a short time — from HTML & CSS to JavaScript. I’ve always known that I wanted to break into the world of Computer Science — a field that’s still heavily male-dominated. It hasn’t always been easy. Doubt, fear, and imposter syndrome have been real parts of my journey. But I’ve never let that stop me from chasing the future I know I deserve. Starting SheCodes was a turning point. Completing SheCodes Basics Add-on gave me more than just extra coding knowledge — it gave me momentum. It helped me prove to myself that I belong in tech, and that I could go further. Every small project, every new line of code I wrote, made me feel more powerful and capable

My interest in coding was sparked by my little brother, who is studying IT. I thought — how cool would it be to experience technology on a deeper, less superficial level? A friend of mine recommended SheCodes, and I honestly can't think of a better platform to learn the basics. Completing this course has opened up a whole new creative side of me. I really enjoyed this add on activity and I enjoyed how Matt explained everything clearly, I was never stuck because of how well he explained everything.

I can't recommend this workshop highly enough! From start to finish, it was engaging, inspiring, and incredibly well-organized.

This was a stimulating challenge building on previous workshops. Exploring a range of new techniques, not least the tricky task of dealing with dates. I was really satisfied with the the world clock I was able to make after following the top notch guidance and explanations from Matt. The more you work at it the more coding begins to make sense. It is so satisfying to see the code translate into something real that you can use online.

I really enjoyed following along with the Plus Add-on video lessons to build the world clock project. The step-by-step guidance gave me confidence to make the project my own while building on my existing skills. I learned a lot—not just about JavaScript features, but also about how development works overall. I especially appreciated getting more comfortable with GitHub and developing a real workflow around it, which is invaluable for any web project. While I tried to stick closely to the lessons, I also adapted parts of the code to fit my own approach. That was challenging at times but incredibly rewarding when everything worked out. I’d highly recommend the Plus Add-on to anyone who doesn’t just want theoretical explanations or exercises, but is looking for hands-on projects that encourage practical learning and leave room for creativity.

This project was honestly one of my favorite parts of the course. I got to build a landing page about one of my hobbies, and it felt so good to bring my personality into the design. I went for a soft, girly vibe with a touch of dark aesthetic, which really represents my style. I experimented with CSS background properties, added some fun transform effects, used grids to structure the layout, and even included a light and dark theme toggle. It took some effort, but it was worth every second. Seeing my name at the bottom made it feel truly mine. This project gave me the confidence to say, “Yes, I can do this,” and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come.

Before starting SheCodes, coding felt completely impossible for someone like me with no background in computer science and zero experience/knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. But Matt made everything feel approachable and manageable. The explanations were clear, the pace was just right, and I felt empowered to go through with it. Highly recommend for beginners! The Basics Add-On was truly an eye-opening experience. This week learning consisted of even more in-depth learning on CSS styling and how to use Javascript to newer heights. I truly enjoyed and learned a lot from this add on workshop. I believe the skills I have learned are better shaping me to be someone who codes, not only neatly but is able to design presentable pages despite my lack of coding school. I recommend this workshop as it builds up from the Basics section.
