I gained a lot of knowledge from this Plus add-on and enjoyed it, despite some of the material being quite advanced. Overall, it was very inspiring.
I was so intimidated by the idea of coding, but Matt explains it so well and there's such a great community at SheCodes! So many others are willing to help and share if you get stuck. I was never stuck for long and this course simplified coding! It made coding a lot less scary and a lot more fun.
I decided to do that add-ons to get back into working on personal projects and build my portfolio outside of work. And I really enjoyed this one.

Easy to follow, great lesson plan, keeps you motivated!
I'm extremely happy to see how my web portfolio turned out. Creating a beautiful and responsive website showcasing my work, fully coded from scratch by myself is a milestone reached. By completing this workshop I increase my skillset and become a full-on web designer and developer that is not only able to design a functional and delighful interface but to make it functional. This is definitely a great combo to have that I'll apply in my professional course.
This project pushed what I knew, and I plan to apply it to previous webpages so that I can build out my portfolio.

I am currently a Content Manager / Financial Counselor who is passionate about learning new things. I am a working mother and have been trying to break into web development for a couple of years. Many employers require an education in Computer Science or a Certification in Web Development, but I have neither. SheCodes has provided me with the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge at my own pace. I hope to enter the field as a Front-End Developer soon after graduating from SheCodes Max.

I have been so happy with my SheCodes experience. I was most worried about learning React but Matt made it so easy to follow and understand. I liked building another weather app because it really shows you the differences between JS and React.

Very clear explanation step by step. Later videos also repeat things explained earlier. This ensures that you don't forget certain important things. It is also easy to follow with the examples next to it. It was also very nice that you can reschedule the deadline of your projects. This allows you to get to everything at a quiet time and learn everything really well without getting stressed about the upcoming deadline.

I found the workshops and lessons easy to understand, the format of watch, do, review is a really good way to learn. I think the workshops in general are competitively priced but time will tell if future employers accept these qualifications. Either way, it's a great introduction to coding.
The SheCodes Basics workshop was my absolute first step towards coding. It has been an amazing journey so far, as the lessons are very instructive and concise, so we can practice a lot and really learn by doing. Moreover, the challenges are quite fun. The course material was presented in a clear and concise manner, making it easy to follow along and understand. The quizzes and assignments were straightforward and helped me reinforce my learning.
Really enjoyed the three week basics course. The course has given me a nice introduction to coding and allowed me to decide whether coding was something I wanted to continue with - without committing to spending a small fortune on something I wasn't initially sure about. The classes were straight-forward, and I love having the solutions tab to show me what I could have done better (or a different perspective on how to complete the challenges). The only negative is that I thought my final project would be checked before certificates were processed, this doesn't appear to be the case - you could literally copy and paste your project from Matt and still 'qualify'.

As a homeschool mom of 2 I wasn't sure if I would have the time to try to learn to code. I've been out of college and the workforce for a few years now and I looked at a handful of possible bootcamps to try. I'm so glad I went with SheCodes. Not only is it perfect for people who need to do lessons at random, odd hours, but the content is great and easy to understand. Matt is seriously the best instructor I've come across so far in this field. I've done a few self learning courses and youtube tutorials and other things but learning from Matt's videos have definitely been the best experience I've had in the last 2 years of me trying to decide if I wanted to do this or not. It's really great to be able to do this around my schedule and to learn in short, user friendly lessons with fun projects. I highly recommend SheCodes.

I HIGHLY recommend SheCodes. I took the free workshop and immediately wanted to take the 3-week course. I come from a teaching background so I was very nervous, yet excited to learn coding. This was a tricky course to complete at times but when you get to the end you're so proud of how far you've come. The SheCodes team are very helpful and advise you with anything you are stuck on, big or small and you don't have to wait a long time for a reply, I'm very grateful for them all. Can't wait to complete my other courses and get my certificates!

The projects are exciting, providing a lot of creativity and excellent examples. The learning platform helped me to feel confident and safe. My fear that I know English not very well is broken because Matt explains everything clearly and in an understandable. Thanks, Matt you taught me how to code and think like a programmer: search information a lot of it, solve a complex issue into smaller issues, think about how to solve problems elegantly, and, most importantly, use these skills in real life. I never thought I would be able to write a line of code and make it functional, but SheCodes made me believe. I loved the experience, the videos in each lesson are very enlightening and the practice exercises are great. They are not exact copies of the examples given in the lessons, which makes it all the better to practice. Step by step, Matt makes you able to build something. I can't wait to continue and sign up for a new workshop!
