I'm Yajaira Pacheco. I worked in the call center industry for over a decade, however, my true passion has always been coding. I remember being little and coding little things here and there. I would highly recommend anyone who has even a slight interest in coding, to sign up for SheCodes basics. It's a solid introduction to coding and will provide you with foundational skills. I will say that the challenges are just that...challenging! However, I felt very well supported and had access to many resources to help debug my code or answer questions. I'm not sure where this path will take me, but I'm definitely signing up for the next course. It's exciting to learn something totally new!

This add-on workshop consisted of creating a World Clock page with many various JavaScript features. It was fun personalizing the project and I have many more ideas of how to enhance it in the future as I learn more functions.

From the very beginning, the course was engaging and easy to follow, with a clear structure that made it easy to stay on track.I was impressed with how quickly I was able to learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This workshop was so much fun! There's nothing more satisfying than being able to customize your website to make it responsive, no matter the size. The course was very easy and I feel I've learnt so much in such a short space of time. Breaking the lessons down into small parts meant I didn't lose focus quickly like other courses, and if I felt I was losing focus I could just come back the next day. Overall the course has made me feel really excited about learning more!

The five week course that could've gotten done in two weeks. By the end of week three I no longer watched any video or solution by week five I just kept turning things in bc already knew what it was they wanted of me. it is a waste of time but happy to get something out of it.
Easy to follow along especially if you have a full time job
I really enjoyed taking this course. The fundamentals were well taught and the challenges at the end helped reinforce the lessons. The Slack hat was also very helpful when I experienced hiccups while working on my challenges. As a beginner, this has been very helpful.

I have tried other coding classes in the past and SheCodes was the only one that helped me truly understand JS. Matt, the instructor does an excellent job at organizing the weekly lessons and assignments in a way that really speaks to my style of learning. I was able to follow along and loved that after you submitted your challenge, he would go over the solution so you can understand where you may have went wrong and how to fix it. I wanted to see if coding could be for me and I loved the creativity and organization that goes into it and I'm so glad I took SheCodes Basics. I plan to enroll in SheCodes Max soon!
