I was completely new to coding. I knew absolutely nothing about it or how it worked, I maybe didn't even understand what it entailed. I decided to start with the SheCodes workshop for beginners and realised soon that I really enjoyed learning how to code. It's a process of trial and error. It's very helpful that after every lesson you get a challenge to practice.
A very thorough introduction into HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding from a very friendly and approachable teacher. The course is challenging in some areas but SheCodes is set up with multiple places to find help. I also loved the community chat - you can test your skills by helping others as well as supporting eachother! I would 100% recommend!

I have been learning from She Codes for the past month and it has been an invaluable experience. She Codes has given me the fundamental skills I need to start my IT career. Through their online tutorials, I have been able to learn the basics of coding and programming in an interactive, engaging way. I have also had the opportunity to work with other students and participate in coding projects, which has been immensely helpful. I have to take a step back and not complete every requirement for the final tasks. Although the classes were easy to understand, sometimes in the challenges i forgot some things, but i enjoyed learning code.
This workshop was such a blast to work through! The layout was straightforward and simple, which I loved. The program is easy to follow and the instructor explains the lessons very well. What was a pleasant surprise was the community of other ladies taking the courses as well! I loved having a space to talk and share ideas with other students of the course!

The SheCodes Plus workshop has definitely been more challenging than the Basics one but is sure more rewarding. You get to learn powerful and extremely useful technologies such as the API: how to communicate with other applications, how to fetch data through the server and manipulate them according to your needs. SheCodes Plus unfold, in this way, the "mysteries" of these technologies, keeping its formula and method simple, clear and within everyone's reach. Also, another feature has been introduced to the SheCodes family which will make you love learning to code even more: Athena. I would recommend SheCodes Plus to anyone who want to deepen her coding knowledge and skills.
Amazing course!
It is an amazing course, whichever workshop you want to go for. Even if you already know some coding this is the most fun and useful workshop to continue with. And if you have no experience in coding the SheCodes Basic workshop is (to my mind) the best way to start with. It requires nothing and at the end it leaves you with a project that is coded by yourself and you’ll be much more confident for the next levels and you have had a lot of fun and enjoyed the learning. It is so easy to allow and it step by step, with challenges to make sure you learnt the subject which is super helpful.
I have really enjoyed exploring this "new world" of coding! This course is a great insight for someone that wants to explore the coding world, explore new possibilities, and get new skills! I will definitely consider upgrading for longer workshops! thank you matt and the team for the great lessons and this amazing course!
