Great introduction to Python!

I started SheCodes not knowing much about coding,but now i’m proud to be receiving my certificate.The experience was empowering,and I’ve learned skills I can actually use.This is just the beginning of my journey in tech.

The "World Clock" build is a lot easier (in my opinion) than the "Weather App" build. Overall, it is nice gaining new knowledge for every day useful applications and being on the other side of understanding how both applications are working from the inside-out.

Learning Responsive was super challenging, but it was very fun to marry the skills I've learned for HTML and CSS with the functionality of Bootstrap. Very cool final project!

My journey with SheCodes started off amazing, learning code was fun and exciting up until it started to clash with my university studies. Test week at school approached and I had to put SheCodes on pause. But I ended up being too drained from school that I missed my deadline for some of my homeworks, including my final project. Luckily, extensions are allowed and it was given to me as an option. Instead of dropping out, I opted for an extension that bought me more time to finish my project. Next time, I'll try to start another workshop or add-on workshop once I've clearly set up my schooling schedule to prevent any clashes from occurring.

Completing this chapter was both challenging and rewarding. I improved my weather app by adding real-time API data, including wind speed, weather description, icons, and humidity. I also learned how to make my application fully dynamic, removing hardcoded values and ensuring everything updates based on user input. Debugging and improving the user experience helped me better understand how JavaScript, APIs, and HTML work together. Deploying my project on Netlify and updating my GitHub repository gave me more confidence in sharing my work and building real-world projects. This chapter helped me grow not only in coding but also in problem-solving and attention to detail.

Fun course

This project helped me understand how to connect JavaScript with real AI APIs and build a working web application. I learned how to structure a project, and deploy it online with Netlify. It was challenging but very useful for improving my frontend skills.

I never thought I could understand how websites are built, but SheCodes Basics made it so accessible. The lessons are easy to follow, and seeing my code come to life in the browser was such a rewarding feeling. I’m so glad I took this first step into the world of tech!

I'm so excited to finally see my finished weather app live on the internet! It's been challenging. There were moments where I had no idea why things weren't working but pushing through it made it so worth it. Everything I learned throughout the course came together in this project. From structuring the page, to styling it, to connecting a real API and displaying live weather data. I built something real, and that feeling is unmatched. 100% worth every frustrating moment!

This was a lovely journey, even though it was a bit tricky but it was manageable. Thank you to Matt and the team.

After first learning Java, It took some time to know how to code in Python. Luckily Matt is really great in explaining the differences and also the naming of what things are called in Python vs Java.

I really enjoy the course!

For me, it was too much trial and error while doing CSS & JS specially. It creates mental pressure and tension to deliver close to your best in the homework's. I guess this happens when your brain starts learning something new and wants to be good in it at the same time. Overall, It was really fun to do small small challenging tasks. Moreover, keeping an open mind that lessons probably be difficult in the next level. Thank you

The SheCodes Python Advanced course was the perfect next step in my coding journey. The curriculum is challenging yet rewarding, and I loved the deep dive into complex data structures and APIs. The best part? The course has evolved! You’re no longer restricted to using Replit; having the freedom to work in a professional local environment like Google Colab and VS Code made the learning experience feel much more authentic and industry-standard.

SheCodes has truly been a game-changer for me. Before starting, coding felt intimidating and confusing, but the lessons break everything down in a clear and approachable way that actually makes sense. The structure is well-organized, and the hands-on projects helped me build real confidence instead of just memorizing concepts. What I loved most is how practical everything is — you’re not just learning theory, you’re building real projects from day one. The basic ads project was especially challenging and pushed me to achieve things I never thought I’d be capable of. I’m really excited to see what comes next!

I had a lot of doubts about joining the program since I already come from a tech background, but I don’t regret it at all!!!! It has been so refreshing to follow the classes — they are very dynamic and make even complex topics feel easy to understand. I’m really happy I took the chance to apply, and SheCodes is truly becoming a big support for me during this time.

During the SheCodes Plus AI course, I learned how to integrate AI APIs into real web projects, how to make API calls with Axios, handle responses, and display dynamic AI-generated content using JavaScript.This course gave me the confidence to combine HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AI together to build creative and interactive applications,something I'm truly proud of!"

I have been putting this off for such a LONG time, telling myself I needed a double screen and I inserted all the excuses in the world. I finally decided to hone in and complete the course. It took me less than 3 weeks to complete because it was so engaging and easy to follow along. Thanks Matt for being an awesome instructor! For those of you considering, you've already wasted enough time thinking. Start taking action!

I really enjoyed learning Python basics with SheCodes. The lessons were clear, well-structured, and easy to follow, even as a beginner. I learned important fundamentals like variables, functions, conditionals, and loops, and I especially enjoyed applying these concepts by building a weather app. The hands-on exercises made the learning process engaging and practical.

Another fun course! It was fun to build and learn. The progression of topics to learn was well thought out and concepts build well on top of each other.

I already had some knowledge on HTML, CSS and JavaScript but honestly I hadn't seen it in ages and this was the best refresher I could have asked for. It was so well explained and the mini projects kept me motivated.

Before I joined shecodes..I had an idea of coding however I would not be able to finish a page without googling or checking through some sites however, I now fully understand most elements and can code off head that to in just minutes unlike before where I would take hours trying to perfect a page. By the end of the workshop, I was confident using APIs, working with GitHub, and deploying projects on Netlify. It’s a great starting point for anyone wanting to get into frontend development.

After taking the Basics class for front-end development, I decided to pursue the entire package which includes front-end and back-end. This was my first exposure to Python and while it was challenging, it was at time enjoyable, as I was able to complete assignments and feel comfortable about applying my knowledge. I am looking forward to continuing my education with the goal of becoming a Junior Developer!

My React journey is sketchy. I was introduced to this programming language for the first time on this platform, and I'm glad I've been able to make some progress with it. I look forward to sharpening the skills further in my the next course.

The SheCodes Portfolio and Career Workshop provided clear guidance on how to present my work and meet industry expectations. The insights shared were practical and valuable for preparing to apply for roles.

I really enjoyed adding onto what I've been doing and also learning about the changing of themes and adding grid to my pictures.

This is refreshing and fulfilling. It is not easy, but I can accomplish the challenges. I am glad that I was able to design and create my first app.

Wow was this one a challenge! It forced me to think about different ways I wanted to show my images, and also various ways to play with images and changing themes. I feel way more confident now though with playing around and making mistakes and just seeing what happens when I refresh.

I really enjoyed this project; i had a lot of fun from actually building the website to designing it. It was splendid!!

I used to be curious about how websites work, but I never imagined that I would one day be able to create my own landing page. Coding used to feel intimidating to me, but SheCodes helped me see the world in a completely different way. Thank you, Matt, for this opportunity!

SheCodes Plus Add-on was a really rewarding step in my learning journey. It helped me deepen my understanding and connect everything I learned before into something more complete and practical. I especially enjoyed working on more advanced features and seeing how small details can really improve a project. The structure made it easy to stay on track while still giving me the flexibility to learn at my own pace. Whenever I got stuck, the Slack community was there to help, which made a big difference. Overall, I feel much more confident now and ready to take on more complex projects.

The bite size lessons and exercises are great.

I really enjoyed building the Weather app and learning how to perform interactive functions using Python!

The React Add-on was an excellent extension of the core React.js foundations. Working on a live project strengthened my practical skills and gave me the confidence to build real applications independently.

A one week workshop but with so much to learn which I enjoyed doing a lot. It was so challenging but funny, as usual instructor will always find a way to make everything look simple to we can understand

The AddOn Workshop really helped to solidify what I've been learning. I was surprised how much longer it took me than I initially thought it would take. I really wanted to grasp and practice all of the concepts, which is why I didn't rush through it. Matt does a remarkable job explaining each point, which I really appreciate!

A fun little project with a lot of lessons. This course taught us how to use CSS filters extensively from scratch. Definitely a valuable skill to have. Matt is an excellent instructor. Always a pleasure. Off to the next adventure....

This was the final project and definitely one of the most challenging ones, mainly because there was a lot of trial and error (a lot of error mainly). I like the results and seeing how far I've come in understanding React.

Python is a very difficult language to master, but this course opened up my options for data analytics and structures.

The SheCodes React Dictionary project has been such a satisfying project to build. Everything from the React course came together in one place: components, state, API integration, responsive design, and real UX thinking. I loved going beyond the brief: I designed the empty state from scratch with a custom animated SVG illustration, and added small details like synonym chips. React keeps inspiring me to build more. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team for yet another course that pushes me further than I thought I could go. 💜
