After taking an intro course I am more interested in the tech world and how it works. It was easy to understand and complete the course. Your own imagination and creativity sets the limit.

The first time I thought about creating a website, I never thought all the coding that was behind. In fact, I did not even know how to start. With SheCodes, we get a huge starting point: we get insights on html, css and java script. It is so exciting to code and see the final output! SheCodes is a very interesting way to learn the bases of web development and understand it's not really rocket-science. The teaching method is very interactive, allowing us to apply the bases after each class and giving the tools to continue learning by ourselves!

The videos are ok for a complete beginner, but the information is already available for free. I expected the live sessions to be denser and to go into detail much more. Also, I expected the courses to explain the theory and to show practical examples much more. I would only recommend this course to someone who has zero knowledge of HTML/CSS, but not to someone who's good at learning on their own or who already followed some tutorials. For the same price, you can get a 3-month subscription on a DEV-focused platform and learn all these skills, plus much more :). So in my case definitely the expectations were too high for what the course offers, especially when it comes to the live sessions.
SheCodes was the perfect way for me to start learning how to code! The structure of the course is really good - with live classes and several tutorials, challenges and homework to work on during the following week. Matt is also super clear during the classes which are so well prepared too. I highly recommend this course for who, as me before, wanted to give a first step into coding. I can't believe that I am able to code after only 3 weeks of SheCodes live workshop. That's magnificent, merci beaucoup, Matt!
I attended to SheCodes Live Workshop, so I can only talk about that. The course itself is instructed nicely, however I believe the curriculum was not very well suited to the amount of money that you pay (at my time it was 99 euros). you are going to have Courses and homeworks for 2 weeks, and the whole third week is dedicated to your final project, which I believe it could be better if they would have some material for the 3rd week too (Matt is going to have live webinar for 4 times in total, once per week). If you are brand new in coding then yes that is a good way to start. Also the slack-chat environment has a really nice, helpful and friendly atmosphere. BUT for someone who has a tiny little bit of coding experience I wont recommend this course. you should look for more challenging homeworks and syllabus. They are at the starting point though, so most probably they are going to improve themselves a lot.
This online workshop exceeded all my expectations! I've learned the basics of coding, tools to progress more on my own and I have now an even bigger curiosity about this world. Thank you SheCodes team!

Matt is a great instructor. He presented all of the information in a way that was easy to understand. I feel that the material was structured very well with a good balance of live classes along with the convenience of learning at our own pace at home. I enjoyed the whole experience - learning, the homework, the project...all of it! I will be looking for the SheCodes Plus availability that will fit my schedule soon.
I really enjoyed being part of this project, although there are many other things to learn, it has challenged me in a way I haven't had for a long time and gave me the desire to learn more.
Learning how to code with SheCodes workshops was extremely fulfilling and nice experience for me. I got over my fear of IT-related tasks, challenged myself and learn something new. Now I am even more motivated to dive into coding world! :)
It was an amazing experience for me! The challenge structure was really "step by step" and easy to understand. When I struggled, I always asked on Slack and the response was very fast. This course was an amazing challenge, allowing space to learn a lot about html, css and java script at a comfortable and at the same time fast pace. I think it's a great way to start learning and finding out whether one likes coding or not.
My 1st ever experience with coding was about 20 years ago or so! Do you remember Geocities, at Yahoo? I remember I created a very rudimentary website with HTML there. Since then, my academic and working career has had nothing to do with coding at all. Lately I have become more interested at coding since I love learning new things and this workshop has been a nice challenge for me. It has also allowed me to explore my creativity and think about personal future projects. And definitely, it is an opportunity if you consider to change career. SheCodes allows you to take part in affordable fun workshops.

I always thought that programming and code writing wasn't for me. It simply felt like something unachievable, to be completely honest. I am an Engineer student but unfortunately, I was never exposed to code in such a way that felt or seemed attractive. I can truly say that Matt made it feel like it was such an easy ride, but most of all made me curious to understand and know more! SheCodes workshop is a fast-paced crash course program that gives you a basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and is the perfect place to understand whether coding is for you without committing too much time or money. SheCodes workshop was an amazing experience for me! I got to learn something that is usually perceived as complex and difficult in a really friendly environment. The program was really well planned and organized, the classroom atmosphere was very relaxed and positive, with classmates helping and encouraging one another during the exercises. SheCodes staff (including volunteers and technical assistants) were very attentive and supportive throughout the weekend and really made a difference in the experience (including Matt's playlists! :)) . Thank you all! I am looking forward to learning more about coding in the next program I got enrolled into - SheCodes Plus - and to build an app at the end of the program.

Working full time is not easy to commit to something so interesting, but also so complicate as coding. This course helped me to acquire the basics and to use them in a practical way. The most important thing of this course is the social aspect that allows you to meet many amazing people that are constantly facing the same issues as you and to get loot of support. I am really interested to continue this path and hopefully I will succeed!

I attended one of the coding workshops in Lisbon. While the 2 day workshop is quite intense and fast paced, Matt's instruction is highly effective. My expectations for the ability to grasp the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript were exceeded. This was a pleasant surprise me as I knew almost nothing about coding beforehand. For any lady who is interested in a career as a developer, SheCodes is the perfect starting point.
This intense weekend helped me feel confident that I too can gain this skill! Despite the fast pace, Matt answered every question and the team helped us at every practical challenge. It is a great way to make coding go from "hieroglyphs" to something readable in a very short period of time, which opens the door to exploration and an enormous number of possibilities for each of us.
