I liked a lot the workshop! I could learn and apply new and very useful techniques for HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I am eager to use even more my new abilities soon!
I learned the essentials of html, and I think I can really apply what I learned in this workshop to create a site, that I have been waiting for a while to do but didn't know how.
I had a great time at "SheCodes". It is a lot to see in two days, but Matt manages to make it flow the best way as possible. I give an extra star for the music (made the workshop even better). It was my first contact with the world of coding, and I am looking foward to next course.

At first, I was nervous about trying something that I had no knowledge about but I ended loving it. The way the classes are taught is amazing because all the challenges allow us to follow everything so we don't get lost. Besides, all the help from the other girls and the volunteers contribute to our success in this workshop. In the end, it was a great experience, something that I recommend to everyone.
As a Product Owner I struggled to fully understand the developers on my team. SheCodes teached me that coding is not a crazy monsters and if you are curious enough a weekend is what it takes to ignite the coder in you.
An excellent way to learn to code even without any basic knowledge, since it could be easily turned into an overwhelming experience. Also, the teaching method is very practical and the fact that Matt is an experienced full stack developer is a big bonus, explaining every line of the codes and advising about the dos and donβts.
An engineering course gives many logical tools but not all correspond to the needs of the job market. Continuing to evolve is a constant task. This course was a step towards improving my programming skills, giving me the foundation to continue exploring on my own.
A few years ago, speaking English was a skill valued in the market. Currently, it is the minimum required. I believe we are seeing the same phenomenon with "programming", specially for those working in the field of engineering and technology. Considering that a gap in my academical education, I decided to apply to "SheCodes" workshop. Of course I don't feel a programmer after the workshop but I feel that I have the tools to start learning by myself! The 12-hour workshop is very well structured, in a way that not only you can understand the logic but also practice the basics, try new things and learn by doing it. Since I was born, the world of tech wasn't exactly my thing, but over the years I realized that it could be a lot of fun and interesting. When I found Matt's course I told myself "girl you have to do it". I do not regret my decision and even though it wasn't easy at the beginning, I can see myself doing it in the future! Throughout the weekend we learnt the very basics of how to create a webpage and how to make it interactive with the user, by resorting to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It has been a great opportunity to start the abc of coding. It had a speed mode equal to 10 energy drinks but it was a great experience and a great challenge... and I loved it! It allowed me to demystify important concepts and understand that coding it's not only to "geeks"!! But if you want it you can do it, it takes a lot of practice, investigation, curiosity and creativity... and to be able to start and stop a puzzle over and over again... Bucket list: "Start coding" --> Check!
It has been a great experience! I've learned a lot about coding it self but also about how to solve problems on my own, about available tools and about a new mindset.
In search for a new job, it became so frustrating to come across mostly demand for "front end dev" or "full stack dev", without even understanding what it meant. After these two days, I know now what to focus on to get my foot into the new market. There is still a long way to go but this weekend definitely pointed me in the right direction. Knowledge is very empowering and this experience is a great reminder of just that :-)
In a way this course was life changing for me. I am fed up about my area of studies and I really want to pursue something different. Now I am starting to understand this new tool and I am confident that is something that I really enjoy. Matt is a great teacher!

I decided to join the SheCodes Workshop because knowing something of coding would help accelerate some processes in my current job and aid the communication with the IT team! I left the workshop convinced that this was the best thing I could have done for my company and myself! The way the workshop is designed is really motivating. You are constantly putting into practice the new learning and getting validation that you can actually make it - it is really empowering! Coding is not a seven-headed monster!
I come from a financial area and kind of tech friendly, but before the course I could never imagine that my knowledge doing macros in MS Excel (which looks a bit old fashioned in times of artificial intelligence) could be highly connected with JavaScript. The weekend was full of new concepts and the SheCodes methodology allowed Matt and the team challenge us at the same time we had lots of fun.

Great way to get the fundamentals of programming when you don't have any knowledge of Data Science or related fields. The explanations are clear and deep enough to give you an idea of where you need to go in your own time. The exercises also help you to put into practise all you have learned as you go along as well as the final project!
Great didactics, a very hands-on course, covering a lot of content, but really well-explained. Gives us a really great 'map' of Coding possible careers, resources and next steps we can take from now on.

A great workshop for people who are curious about programing. I already had some knowledge of CSS and HTML and it was still a great learning experience. It is fast-paced, and you might find yourself at a loss a couple of times, but Matt is a great teacher and you end up the workshop with great basics.

I saw an ad for SheCodes via Instagram and was intrigued by the whole concept and initiative to get more females into tech and coding! As a sociology student, I already had some experience with coding in other programs and languages, so I wasn't all new to the concept of coding, but learned a ton nonetheless! Matt's teaching is delivered in a very pedagogic manner, which makes a whole lot easier for both beginners and people on an intermediate level. Definitely worth it!
I did not have any experience in programming, and this course really gave me an insight as to what coding is like. I am glad that there were online had challenges and weekly assignments as I felt more challenged and it excited me to be able to put into practice what I had learned in the tutorial videos.I look forward to expanding my coding knowledge in the future.

Absolutely loved learning coding, still so much to learn but this was the perfect way to start for someone who had no clue about coding! I only wish the 3rd week also had a couple more lessons to keep learning more JS! I have every intention of joining SheCodes+ as I loved the teaching style!!

This workshop is the best first approach that you can have for coding. In the past I tried to learn some basic things from internet and itΒ΄s so dificult compared to the lessons that Matt give! This was a perfect beginner level workshop, I feel like I learned so much in just one weekend, and front end development is no longer a huge black box for me. Matt is an incredible teacher, I was never lost at any point! Honestly even though it was on the weekend I just wanted it to continue through the night!

This course definitely exceeded my expectations! I didn't have any coding background and by the end of the first day I was able to understand basic html and CSS, and at the end of the course I was feeling like a real geek :)! Matt is an excellent teacher, he's able to explain the most complicated Java Script functions in a way that makes these look simple.
