It was a great restart for me! As an engineer I took some coding courses at the university, but the way they were taught was neither attractive nor practical. SheCodes has a practical approach that allows us to test everything we learn and ask questions whenever we need to! I recommend this WS to all girls who feel that web development is something they would like to try, as it is a tool that requires only a computer and the internet. With this kind of skill we can complement something we do on a day-to-day basis with something we can capitalize on remotely.

At first, I was nervous about trying something that I had no knowledge about but I ended loving it. The way the classes are taught is amazing because all the challenges allow us to follow everything so we don't get lost. Besides, all the help from the other girls and the volunteers contribute to our success in this workshop. In the end, it was a great experience, something that I recommend to everyone.

An engineering course gives many logical tools but not all correspond to the needs of the job market. Continuing to evolve is a constant task. This course was a step towards improving my programming skills, giving me the foundation to continue exploring on my own.
The workshop opened multiple possibilities for professional development on several dimensios. The way of teaching is fun, extremely complete, high leveled and at a fast pace.
SheCodes is the best way to learn why you have to know how to code, it gives you an introduction to coding which is very important for someone who doesn't know anything about it.
SheCodes is worth everything you put into it. I had tried to learn to code so many times on my own, but I would ultimately get discouraged or bored because none of the courses provided a well-rounded overview of the basics in such a short amount of time as SheCodes. Seeing how HTML, CSS and JS fit together to make a website lit a spark inside me. Everything seemed to make more sense. I feel empowered to learn more and totally capable of becoming a developer, now that I can see that it's not a question of intelligence, but of putting in the work.

As a Product Owner I struggled to fully understand the developers on my team. SheCodes teached me that coding is not a crazy monsters and if you are curious enough a weekend is what it takes to ignite the coder in you.

A great workshop for people who are curious about programing. I already had some knowledge of CSS and HTML and it was still a great learning experience. It is fast-paced, and you might find yourself at a loss a couple of times, but Matt is a great teacher and you end up the workshop with great basics.
I was very excited to do the workshop. I knew it would be a game changer for me, I just didn't know it would be so much. I recommend it to anyone, regardless of whether or not they want to have programming as a profession. Today, it is a necessary skill and every day it will be more. Great way to get the fundamentals of programming when you don't have any knowledge of Data Science or related fields. The explanations are clear and deep enough to give you an idea of where you need to go in your own time. The exercises also help you to put into practise all you have learned as you go along as well as the final project!

In search for a new job, it became so frustrating to come across mostly demand for "front end dev" or "full stack dev", without even understanding what it meant. After these two days, I know now what to focus on to get my foot into the new market. There is still a long way to go but this weekend definitely pointed me in the right direction. Knowledge is very empowering and this experience is a great reminder of just that :-)

My boyfriend is a software developer and when he talks... I don't quite understand what he says. Throughout the weekend we learnt the very basics of how to create a webpage and how to make it interactive with the user, by resorting to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I come from a financial area and kind of tech friendly, but before the course I could never imagine that my knowledge doing macros in MS Excel (which looks a bit old fashioned in times of artificial intelligence) could be highly connected with JavaScript. The weekend was full of new concepts and the SheCodes methodology allowed Matt and the team challenge us at the same time we had lots of fun.

It has been a great opportunity to start the abc of coding. It had a speed mode equal to 10 energy drinks but it was a great experience and a great challenge... and I loved it! It allowed me to demystify important concepts and understand that coding it's not only to "geeks"!! But if you want it you can do it, it takes a lot of practice, investigation, curiosity and creativity... and to be able to start and stop a puzzle over and over again... I really enjoyed the experience and learned a lot with SheCodes! I was very interested in learning about coding but did not know where to start until I knew SheCodes. When I first started the course I knew very little about coding and now I can understand some basic concepts and probably will be learning even more in the future.

I did not have any experience in programming, and this course really gave me an insight as to what coding is like. I am glad that there were online had challenges and weekly assignments as I felt more challenged and it excited me to be able to put into practice what I had learned in the tutorial videos.I look forward to expanding my coding knowledge in the future.
I saw an ad for SheCodes via Instagram and was intrigued by the whole concept and initiative to get more females into tech and coding! As a sociology student, I already had some experience with coding in other programs and languages, so I wasn't all new to the concept of coding, but learned a ton nonetheless! Matt's teaching is delivered in a very pedagogic manner, which makes a whole lot easier for both beginners and people on an intermediate level. Definitely worth it!
