I am very glad that I have decided to continue the workshops. I have learned many things until now. And I am looking forward to learn a lot more. I can highly recommend the SheCodes courses, they are very well structured, Matt is a great instructor, and the team is very helpful.

This was an effective course to teach me basic concepts about how to code something from start to finish. Overall, a very effective course that I'm happy with.
The lessons were broken down into manageable chunks and easy to follow. The final project was something functional and interesting that can easily be added to a portfolio.

I am a nurse who has always been interested in improving health outcomes through technology. My husband is a software engineer and I always assumed coding was over my head. Having no experience in coding and gaining an interest in front-end development, I didn't know quite where to start. I tried finding methods of self-teaching and didn't find them as engaging as I wanted so I decided to search for other options and then found SheCodes. I'm so happy that I did! SheCodes has helped me grasp the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a way that was not only fun but practical and challenging which made me want to push myself. I cannot wait to carry on with other SheCodes workshops in the future!
I was so nervous to round the corners towards project submission time - instead of the manner of pacing and learning becoming intensive or convoluted, I was awash with relief to have maintained the relaxing step-by-step lesson structure and support. I feel more confident now than ever previous :) .
I took this workshop expecting to gain new skills to possibly enhance my resume. But the experience I have received was way beyond what I imagined, Matt and the SheCodes Team were beyond amazing and really helpful. Taking the course has been an exciting journey. I finally came to understand the ideas that used to slip away from me. I have to say this course is very well structured. I also like that one does not feel overwhelmed with ton of information as the app you are building is being put together line by line. Even tho you are working on a single project at a time you acquire quite broad amount of skills. Now I know, how to write a code that works.
This is the end of my journey with SheCodes. What a precious experience this has been! I began from not knowing what code is, to really immersed in working with them. Matthieu and the rest of SheCodes team are really wonderful teachers. SheCodes foundation really helped me and many other women from third world country to find better job opportunities. I find learning coding one of the greatest decisions that I made! SheCodes offers lessons and homework that are very well-organized and easy to follow. I had so much fun studying HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

The program is very interesting! The theory is clearly explained and a lot of time is allocated for practice. Lessons are quite clear and fun. I really like this education format when step-by-step teacher explain material.
So when I joined SheCodes I had no idea what coding is and how it works. However, as I was learning lesson by lesson I realized that it isn't that hard and after every challenge, I got a feeling of accomplishment. And after I submitted the project I was so proud of myself. I will continue my journey with SheCodes and I hope that the next workshops will be as fun as this one was

As someone who had nil knowledge in coding, I knew after the first week that I wanted to invest more in SheCodes. The basic workshop is excellent! I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of this vast field. Despite the fact that I am still in high school, I would love to pursue a career in computer science, and with SheCodes help, this was a terrific beginning.

React isn't easy topic to learn, but with Matt's explanations, it became really clear and understandable. I'm happy to complete this workshop (as well as all previous), and I feel confident to start my career as a front-end developer.
I loved every minute of this workshop! By far the best online classes I have followed so far. It is very fun to see a direct result of your new skills learned with each chapter. Very easy to follow and with a good balance of explanations and exercise, with the exercises having the exact right difficulty. When struggling, the community of fellow students in the digital tools makes it feel like you are not alone and you can get help whenever you get stuck. Looking forward to follow up with the more advanced workshop and improve these newly learned skills!
Although some parts took time for me to solve, it was a very interesting experience. A great sense of accomplishment after completing the project!

Wow. React is indeed an amazing tool and I am very glad and thankful that it was included in SheCodes curriculum. Like in all the other workshops, Matt guides you step by step through a well-structured learning path and you keep accumulating super powers ;) If you understand HTML/CSS/JavaScript (e.g., if you have completed the other SheCodes workshops), I truly think that you should check for yourself what you can do with React. Probably it will fit perfectly as the solution for that project you are dreaming about… I can’t recommend SheCodes enough for all who want to learn front-end programming. Congratulations to the SheCodes team for their amazing work!
Succeeding is not an easy task. There was lots of new information as well as new challenges and to overcome any obstacle there was a nice and helpful staff. I really enjoyed my time working on this project🤗 It was rather interesting and facsinating to learn how an app works on the inside and I'm thankful for this knowledge.

During the process of this course i went from someone who was completely terrified of React, to someone who feels confident writing React code. Matt's teachings are concise and very beginner friendly. I would 100% recommend to anyone who's learning react for the first time.
SheCodes Basic provided me with an understanding of basic code principles. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease and straightforwardness of the instructions. The project-based approach promotes active learning and not just simple memorization. After completing all the SheCodes workshops, I feel fully prepared to enter into the tech world. This program gives step by step instruction that is clear and concise. Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn to code.
Matt's tutorials are not only thorough, but they're well-organized so that they build off of each other. Week 1 was all excitement as I realized that the HTML I learned 20 years ago in high school had still been bouncing around in my skull somehow. Adding CSS on top of it was a piece of cake, and the course lays everything out for you one step at a time. Week 2 was all JavaScript, which was brand new to me. There were times I got tangled in my own code during a challenge, but I was never frustrated because it was so simple to go through that week's threads and see if anyone else had similar problems in the past. If so, there were always helpful students and teachers ready to give solutions and help work out the issue. I came here from trying to trudge through Coursera's Google IT certification courses, but I was really struggling and kind of worried that maybe I wasn't quite 'smart enough' for a new career tech or something. However, based on how easily I adapted and absorbed the SheCodes training, I think it's just the different approach Matt brings, which is more visual learning (since he has his code in the video right in front of you so that you can pause it and follow along in your own session of VSCode,) in addition to the small challenges at the end of each lesson, which helps you practice and cement the coding you just learned. Aside from the videos, there are all kinds of learning/coder aids, such as cheat-sheets, color palettes, and CSS generators. Fantastic program. I'm so glad I took a chance from the beginning and signed up for SheCodes Pro. I'm ready to rock the rest of this program and have an exciting, fulfilling career. FINALLY! Thank you, Matt!

It's a very interesting and useful workshop, that learns how to build your own portfolio and how to make your site responsive. After ending these lessons, you can develop and modify sites for different mobile devices, so they will be looking good on different screen extensions.

I really love how easy to learn and how the videos were relatively short. It helped a lot in keeping my attention and motivation up. This is a great class for testing your interests and making coding seem less daunting. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent course! After each video lesson, it seems that everything is very simple - and that I can do everything easily, but in fact, it turns out that everything is more complicated than it seems at first glance. What I especially liked in the course is that CSS, HTML and JavaScript are not studied separately from each other - but in interaction with each other - when you understand how one or another element can be used in practice - such information is remembered much better. Thank you for the interesting course and for the prompt support in Slack!
