I had wanted to learn to code years ago, but life took a different turn. Now, 16 years later, I'm finally doing it thanks to this really great workshop! Although it might sound a bit intimidating to learn to code a landing page with HTML, CSS, and Java Script in just 3 weeks, its actually not bad at all. The lessons are bite size and well explained. The slack help community is also definitely a bonus, as I had a couple questions that were easily answered in there. Overall, the format is engaging and motivating without being too demanding or stressful. I'm looking forward to the rest of the workshops :)
It's been a great experience learning the basics of coding. I do feel like I learned a new skill. The playlist that Matt makes are a bonus!
The course is easy to follow. I learned a lot in only three weeks and was left with that "why didn't I start this before!" feeling. 👩💻💛

Coding has provided the challenge I needed at this stage in my life. I am in the process of making a career change, so I knew I needed to upskill to remain relevant in the job market. SheCodes provides in-depth training from knowledgeable people who want to see women of all ages and backgrounds succeed in the emerging tech industry. I am excited to see how I can apply coding in the next stage of my life.
Very Informative and reliable when it comes to providing resources however there was some information that was left out during the lessons that I had to look up myself such as how to display your work in your browser. "Open with Live Sever" in Visual Studio Code. Also left out for the final project how to get the background to display the palettes.
It was a great experience and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks a lot.

This was probably my most challenging workshop yet with SheCodes. Despite my struggles, the people at SheCodes helped me throughout the entire course! I never expected to be able to make my own portfolio website! I look forward to taking the React workshop soon!
Workshop was nicely paced. The lessons built on top of each other well so that you could work your way up to the project in a methodical way.

I was a former college woman's basketball player and towards the end of my senior year, I was blessed enough to stumble upon the free class that SheCodes was offering. I've always loved puzzles, solving problems, and creativity so once I took the class, discovered how interested I was in coding and creating different bodies of work. I was a student so I was able to receive a discount that really helped me be able to take the class. Five months later, I am now graduated and finished with my 3rd workshop! I've also discovered a new hobby and a bright future in tech! Thank you SheCodes for allowing me to be a part of a bright, growing, and supportive community!

This was a great beginning to CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. The homework projects were fun and manageable, and I never felt overwhelmed.

I really loved how this class is presented and structured. This is a very cool workshop. I highly recommend it and I most definitely will continue on to the next SheCodes workshop. The lessons are very well structured and Matt is a very good instructor. I took an HTML course a while back but I was rusty because I hadn't used it in years. Now that has changed and all I can say is that re-learning HTML, CSS, and JS has been very enjoyable and it will certainly be of value to my career.

Having no experience in coding and gaining an interest in front-end development, I didn't know quite where to start. I tried finding methods of self-teaching and didn't find them as engaging as I wanted so I decided to search for other options and then found SheCodes. I'm so happy that I did! SheCodes has helped me grasp the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a way that was not only fun but practical and challenging which made me want to push myself. I was so nervous to round the corners towards project submission time - instead of the manner of pacing and learning becoming intensive or convoluted, I was awash with relief to have maintained the relaxing step-by-step lesson structure and support. I feel more confident now than ever previous :) .

I have to say this course is very well structured. I also like that one does not feel overwhelmed with ton of information as the app you are building is being put together line by line. Even tho you are working on a single project at a time you acquire quite broad amount of skills. Now I know, how to write a code that works.
This is the end of my journey with SheCodes. What a precious experience this has been! I began from not knowing what code is, to really immersed in working with them. Matthieu and the rest of SheCodes team are really wonderful teachers. SheCodes foundation really helped me and many other women from third world country to find better job opportunities.
