Learning to code is pretty tough, but definitely doable!
Participating in the SheCodes basic course was a lot of fun. I enjoyed doing it in the evenings or during my down times. I am into website building and hope that the knowledge i gained through this course will help me in the future.
SheCodes gives a great introduction to coding. A lot of different material is covered and it gives you a great kickstart if you wish to change your career path or boost your existing one. You're able to speed up or slow down each video to your liking which a great additive. It was a fun, educative and challenging course. Would recommend!

SheCodes Plus was fun since we could interact with APIs and used what we learned on Basics to create a functional project. Matt does a great job in his videos of making things clear and easy to understand. I'm looking forward to the next classes to learn more advanced Web Development and take my understanding to a whole new level!

The lessons are relatively short and cover a lot. However, I think you just need to play around with functions to get a better understanding on how things work.

I never thought I could learn how to code . It seemed like only something people steeped in tech would know how to do. BUT this class makes it easy ! I was able to go step-by-step and dissect each concept. It's a great place to start and you learn so much in a short time.
The lessons were very easy to follow because Matt breaks down the material step by step. Also the staff on slack were very helpful, it seems like there were no coding issues they can't solve.
Being part of this workshop has been awesome, I enjoy the fact that you could learn at your own time and understand each one of the lessons thanks to the clarity of the videos and examples given by Matt I highly recommend it.

These three weeks of the SheCodes Basics Workshop have been both awesome and challenging. I really enjoyed learning the very basics of coding specially HTML and CSS. JavaScript is been definitely more challenging to learn for me but I somehow managed to complete the challenges which makes me proud and stoked! Matt is an awesome teacher and he explains it all in a very simple and understandable way. Bruno and Joao have been super nice and helpful as well and all the coders from the slack platform are super keen to learn and help to each other which makes the whole coding experience really fun and friendly. This is a great beginner course to HTML, CSS and Javacript. Matt sets you up to work at your best potential with tips while encouraging you to expand on the knowledge given and seek out new elements on your own.
The Basics Workshop did an excellent job of making it very easy to learn and practice what was learned real time, to set the student on the path of basic web development. I have already been able to easily build upon what I learned to make the page appear and function differently according to my liking with simple google searches on JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I used to freak out when I saw any type of coding in front of me, but decided to learn it anyway. At first, I struggled to find a learning path that I could stick to. And SheCodes Basics was exactly what I needed. I went from 0 to my very first landing page!!! I look foward to the next steps on my coding journey and I want to change careers now, to something on Front-End.
When I joined this course I barely had any knowledge of coding but now I can confidently say that I know at least the basic elements of HTML, Javascript, and CSS. My SheCodes journey has been super fun and rewarding and has motivated me to actively pursue a career in tech.

SheCodes Plus started out as a challenge, but as you push through week 2 the challenges get gripping and Matt's gradual video lessons ensure you make it all the way till the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating my weather app. Coding just got interesting!

The codeplus package is way more challenging than the codebasic package. I learnt much more in this package and I host my first app website now. The steps to follow are very clear and well explained. I can't wait for the next package

I really loved SheCodes Basic! I was a complete beginner, having never coded before. I was convinced it was something that only math wizards could do. Turns out that isn't the case.
I am 21 years old and have always worked retail jobs, I am looking forward to finishing SheCodes Pro to open the door to potential job opportunities. SheCodes Basic was amazing, I learned so much. Anyone can be a teacher, but not everyone can be a GREAT teacher like Matt!! I am looking forward to more challenges and learning.
I found the workshop fun and engaging. It has allowed me to get a better understanding of the terminology, concepts and tools used within my current position as a product owner and working alongside tech teams. The bit-sized lessons were easy to understand and pick up. I also liked that there were small challenges which we had to build upon existing knowledge from the lessons and learn new things via learning by doing.

SheCodes Responsive was such a steep learning curve, but I enjoyed every bit of it! The lessons in this module are very well structured and easy to understand, which is probably why I thought I could finish it in no time :) But, little did I know! Working on the final assignment (portfolio project) was when the struggle got real :) It was challenging and sometimes overwhelming when I would get stuck with a coding problem longer than anticipated, but looking back I can see how far I've actually come, which is an awesome feeling that makes all of the struggle worth :) Designing and coding your project from scratch, having to review lessons over and over again and googling for solutions is what makes you learn and grow, which might not feel like that immediately, but you're getting there, 100%! :) See you in the React course! :)

I really loved this workshop! While I knew some of the basics, I still felt like this workshop was paramount in giving me the proper foundation to continue on to the other ones and be successful. This is a fantastic workshop! It's so well designed, introducing new concepts incrementally, with fun and challenging projects which really get you to engage with the lessons. So creative, and so satisfying when you get it right!
It was a challenging few weeks and definitely still much more left to learn, but I'm enjoying the workshop so far and look forward to continue with the next level.
This was a perfect beginning course! The course is very interactive and makes it easy to follow along, get help if needed and to learn. I had a fun time starting this basics course and decided to enrol for the PRO course! If you are interested, I would recommend starting the basic course first to get the feeling of the programme a little bit. From there you can decide if you want to take any further steps and invest in your own future. Do keep in mind that you need to set 5-10 hours of work aside for this.
