Who knew coding could be so fun?! I've been wanting to learn a new skill and SheCodes helped me accomplish that in the most inviting way. I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the lessons laid out. The instruction was explained in a nonintimidating way for material that seemed scary. I really believe that anyone can code!

I have got to admit, starting out was ROUGH, for me. I am completely new to the world of coding and to say I struggled, is an understatement. I wanted to throw in the towel, 2 days in, but i'm so glad I stuck with it. I've learned so much, and i'm actually enjoying myself now. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in pivoting to another role in your career, or even just wanting to move further in your current role.

I think this is my best workshop so far because I can finally say I’m a frontend engineer, after learning react, state hooks and building two applications using react and node. I loved every bit of it I must say. Thank you SheCodes, Matt Delac and the entire SheCodes team.

The Basics workshop provides an excellent opportunity for the first acquaintance with programming, the first, but not shallow. Short, very informative lessons keep attention and concentration, and homework stimulates the search for solutions outside the material covered. I enjoyed this workshop quite a bit. Some of the things I already knew in theory (mainly the JavaScript portion), but all in all, I think this is either a great explanation for someone who works with front-end devs and needs to know the basics or a great starting point for a complete beginner.
Another great workshop! It was definitely challenging at some point but Matt's instructions and Slack chats kept me motivated and helped me continue. I'm so excited to continue learning with SheCodes. Highly recommended! :)

Such a great experience! React is not easy, it's very challenging and difficult to understand, But Matt Delac breaks it into small components, and it is easier to understand! Thank you on SheCodes Team as well been always there for us with all the bugs, compiling errors, or even just on a wrong directory! So much fun, challenges, and most import good time coding!
This has been a very challenging project. This is a great introduction to the world of coding, I had to get used to the disappointment of the code I wrote not always working and to asking for help. I wouldn't say that if I had to do it all over again I would be able to, without the help of tech support and Matt's videos. At the same time I have definitely learned a lot about APIs, Github, Sandbox, and everything else introduced in this workshop.
I'm very happy to start my studies with SheCodes, I'm learning to solve all the challenges of the course, I've just finished the basic course and I'm going to the next steps.
I thought about starting to learn coding for a long time and I finally did it. I wanted to spend my free time productively. SheCodes workshop was the perfect choice to start with. I really enjoyed the course. Can't wait to start SheCodes Plus next month.

I had some very basic HTML experience when I was 16y old, after that I had just forgot all about it. The only thing I remembered was that I really enjoyed it. So now after 20 years, I decided to try it again and I am so happy I did it. Shecodes.io is an amazing platform to start coding, it's fun, interactive and very understandable. This time I will not stop and I will continue learning. You guys are inspirational.

I have really enjoyed this Basics Course. Everything was properly explained and all doubts that I could possibly have, I could just simply connect with the community and tutors and ask for help. This is a nice simple course to refresh myself and the deadlines with the course were helpful to push me along in my journey. I like how you go through everything step by step and put it all together at the end with the end project.

Just as Matt said, coding is SUPER fun! Sure, there were times when I was frustrated with my code not working, but the gratification of *making* it work was just immense! This program was very helpful in introducing me to coding. It had a steady pace and easily digestible videos that gave me clear understanding of the types of concepts I needed to learn. I Love Coding
I'm having a good time with the workshop :D. Half way through the whole course!
While the workshop did provide a very good overview of coding, I found several things to be very frustrating. 1. Week one took me almost 15 hours of work compared to the suggested 5. There are 21 lessons, many with challenges, and weekly homework. This week should be split into 2 weeks. 2. Week two lesson one was a horrible lesson and should be revised. The only way I worked through it and determined what actually needed to be done was by asking for help. 3. Asking your students to look up how to do something on google is a terrible practice. You can suggest this, but there were a number of times we had to figure something out by googling it. All it really caused was added frustration. I'd never expect my students to teach themselves skills through googling. I realize we do this in real world settings, but for beginners this should be a no go. I did appreciate the quick and responsive help in Slack and I think that is a great feature to help everyone be successful. I did learn coding basics, and now I know that this is something that is not for me.
It has been great learning how to code! I really enjoyed the lessons! They were easy to follow and if I got stuck there were so many resources available to help me on my journey. Thank you!
I would recomment 100% to everyone, i enjoyed from the beginning to the end. Easy to understand and easy to find the answer for each problem. Beautiful website, cant wait to continue with the rest of my workshop.
