My name is Mandisa, and I am currently a second-year Bachelor in ICT student at DUT. I joined SheCodes to enhance my programming skills and to complement my studies with practical knowledge. The decision to enroll was motivated by my passion for coding and my desire to create innovative solutions. Throughout the SheCodes program, I gained hands-on experience with essential web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The structured approach to learning made complex concepts more manageable. One of the highlights of the program was completing a final project where I built a responsive website from scratch. This not only solidified my understanding of the technologies but also gave me a tangible product to showcase my skills. SheCodes significantly impacted my coding abilities. Initially, I found certain topics challenging, but with the support of the instructors and the community, I was able to overcome these hurdles. The experience deepened my understanding of programming principles and equipped me with skills that are crucial for my career in tech. I’m excited to announce that I’ve completed the SheCodes AI Add-on certification! 💖 For this project, I developed a fun AI Poem Generator that beautifully blends technology and creativity. Users can effortlessly craft personalized poems based on their ideas. With an intuitive input form, seamless API integration, and an eye-catching design, the overall experience is engaging and enjoyable! 👩💻 Throughout this journey, I enhanced my skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, gaining hands-on experience with libraries like Axios and Typewriter.js. ✨
This was by far challenging, but I am proud of myself for being able to finish.
Shecodes Plus was very challenging and a very fun way to learn new skills. I really enjoyed creating My Ouranos App, deepen my knowledge in JavaScript, CSS and HTML the result of app at the end was impressive. The tasks and the challenges were helpful to understand what I learned. SheCodes has given me more confidence to continue learning code and I really enjoying doing that.

The course is really engaging, and since the videos are not too long, you never feel bored. I especially appreciate the exercises after each video, as they help you apply what you've just learned right away.
This workshop was really great to learn the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript! The final project was really a challenge and not only allowed me to consolidate what I learned during the classes, but it also made me go a little further and explore new things!

Overall, I enjoyed this course. Useful new techniques and concepts are taught in week one to improve the design and layout of our projects. I found week two a little repetitive, particularly if students decide to work on their own design. But, as always, the course content is clear, well organised and well explained. We are supported step-by-step through the process of building responsive sites.
I Highly recommend this workshop .lesson are easy to follow and important topics covered in understandable way.

In the beginning, learning React was quite challenging, especially when creating different components and functions to make everything work. However, I really appreciate how Matt was able to explain everything and made each lesson and challenges more manageable. Overall, it was a fun experience and I'm very proud of myself for being able to build a weather application using React!

SheCodes Basics add-on was an amazing addition to the Basics. As someone with no prior experience, I was initially intimidated by the idea of learning how to code. However, the way SheCodes is structured made it so easy to understand. The lessons are interactive, the challenges keep you motivated, and the community support is incredible. I especially loved the hands-on projects, which allowed me to build real things from scratch.

Challenging but rewarding
Shecodes Plus was very challenging in a very fun way and I am always encouraged to keep learning.
The Python Advanced course was a great demonstration on how Python is used. Learning about data extractions and data manipulation will greatly help me as I progress professionally. I enjoyed taking this course and will be interested in further exploring Python in the near future.
"Responsive" was quite intuitive. Working on the portfolio project was fun and interesting as I have been looking forward to having my personal portfolio. Grateful to Matt and to the entire SheCodes team.
I'm truly glad to be able to see it through to the end of this course. There were days when i thought the lessons where beyond my understanding and would remain so but with time and consistency i was able to comprehend it thanks to the well structured lesson plan. The lessons were broken down into parts that made assimilation possible. I'm grateful for this course as i have emerged sharper and capable enough to face any challenge and working condition ahead.

Completing the SheCodes Plus curriculum was an incredible learning experience for me. Throughout the course, I not only deepened my understanding of JavaScript and React, but I also had the opportunity to create a fully functional Weather App. This project challenged me to apply my skills in API integration, state management, and responsive design, all within the React framework. Seeing my Weather App come to life and being able to dynamically fetch and display weather data in real-time was such a rewarding accomplishment. The SheCodes program provided me with the guidance and support I needed to elevate my coding skills, and I now feel more confident in my journey as a developer.

Building an AI was the most exciting project I’ve worked on so far during my time with SheCodes. It pushed me to think creatively and apply the skills I’ve learned in new ways. The challenge of integrating different technologies and seeing it all come together was incredibly rewarding. It’s given me even more motivation to keep improving my coding skills and explore new possibilities in tech!
