I had a great time playing around with making a web page. It was frustrating at times but really satisfying when I finally got it!

Building this AI joke generator was actually so much fun! I learned how to work with APIs and create a chat interface that feels really interactive. The best part was making it South African-themed with jokes about load shedding and Eskom - it's relatable and hilarious!

I chose coding because I want to combine my passion for community development with technology. In this digital age, learning a digital skill is essential — it opens opportunities, improves problem-solving, and allows us to build real solutions that make life easier for our communities. The Basics Workshop deepened my understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and it made me feel much more confident to take risks and experiment. The repeated challenges were insightful and genuinely valuable, and I’m really glad I got to be a part of this.

The Basics Add on Workshop gave me the opportunity to build on what I had already learned in the Basics course. I worked with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in ways that made more sense than before, especially through the small projects and exercises. Seeing my code actually work and produce results was motivating and helped me understand how different parts fit together. The workshop allowed me to work at my own pace, which was important because it gave me time to fully understand concepts I found tricky. I also learned to approach problems more systematically and gained confidence in experimenting with code without fear of making mistakes. Overall, this workshop strengthened my coding skills, reinforced my understanding of the fundamentals, and gave me the confidence to continue learning. It was a rewarding experience that made me feel capable of taking on bigger coding challenges.

It was good fun and I decided to make a multi choice AI generator rather than a single option generator. I tried to use all the learned skills so far and remind myself of how far I have come as a newbie!

Ive been taking this frontend development course for a while now, and honestly, its been such a good experience. I am currently learning how to build responsive websites, and things are finally starting to ‘click’ for me. I did take a long break at one point, and I was worried that I would forget everything, but jumping back in felt way easier than I expected. The lessons are clear, practical and they really help you understand what you’re doing instead of just following steps. Ive learned so much and I genuinely feel more confident every time I finish a new section :)

There was so much to learn for this workshop. Sometimes really challenging. However, it was well explained and at the end of it, incredibly rewarding to see the ability to create a responsive website that works on any device.

This was a very interesting coding experience. I got to see how AI works.

This was a challenging module but I felt like I learned a lot and really enjoyed it.

Coding always seemed cool to me, but the thought of going to school and learning it for 3-4 years made me put it off. I discovered SheCodes and joined the free workshop. Turns out, I could learn the basics in just a few weeks as a beginner! I love how the workshop is organized into bite-sized information. I was dreading to do the challenges when I first signed up, but I had so much fun. My personal favourite was completing the final project on one of my passions! I look forward to joining the monthly challenges so I can keep on practicing.

Completing the She Codes React course has been an incredibly empowering experience. Before starting, I had little confidence in my ability to build interactive web applications, but this course completely changed that. The lessons were clear, hands-on, and perfectly paced, helping me understand not just how React works, but why it’s such a powerful tool for modern web development. Through the projects, I learned how to manage components, state, and APIs and by the end, I was able to build my own fully functional app from scratch. I’m now much more confident in my coding abilities and excited to continue exploring front-end development. Learning Python with SheCodes was an exciting experience. The lessons and exercises really push you to think in a clearer and more structured way. I personally do not think that I would have learn this skills just by reading it somewhere. The way the lessons are explained makes it easier to grasp the concept of coding. I'm exited to continue learning with SheCodes and break into the technology field.

This workshop was a great foray into AI for beginners! However, there is no education about the environmental costs of using AI. The course could be improved by informing students so that they can become responsible technologists.

The add-on is a good learning tool that smoothly guides you through completing the project. I had fun.

I really enjoyed the Python AI Workshop and learning how to combine Python with AI and APIs to build real, functional projects. The workshop boosted my confidence in coding and made learning Python fun and practical!

It was hard but very interesting!!!! It challenged me and a good feeling of learning!

Clear, practical, and beginner-friendly. This course gave me the confidence to code with ease!

This was a huge milestone for me. I made every mistake possible, repeated containers, threw classes around like they were free, and named things with zero meaning until my code turned into a mountain of classes with no meaning. The project looked great on the outside, but behind the scenes it was heavy, messy, and absolutely not maintainable. So I refactored it just about 20 times. In the end, I learned more than I expected not just about layout and my old nemeses (positioning and grid 😅), but about writing clean, maintainable code.

This project was a game changer, it required me to go back to previous workshops and actually understand the concept of React. And I liked the fact that our instructor was using a different API than ours. So this was not just following our instructor it was actually testing, deleting, coding and deleting again and recapping before it all made sense. The little struggle was worth it and I am confident in my skills now.

Python, so far, has been so much easier for me to understand than JavaScript and I've really enjoyed learning more and applying my new knowledge to the AI Roadtrip Planner project.

Even though I took time to finish, missed deadlines but this really helped me. I know have a background of html.

I’ve just completed the basic Python course, and while I have to admit that the instructor was right: Python’s interface can look a bit dull and not very visually exciting. I still learned a great deal from the lessons. The course started off simple, but it gradually became more complex, especially toward the end, so I’m proud to have worked through it and finished. Even though the visual side of Python isn’t flashy, the logic and structure behind the language are really powerful, and I feel like I now have a strong foundation to build on. I’m glad I stuck with it and completed the course. 😅
