Very fun and well-structured course! Coding has become my obsession lately and during this workshop, I have enjoyed so much creating my portfolio and bringing to life a responsive website, making it SEO friendly and also learning more about Bootstrap. I also feel like I finally know what I'm doing while using HTML and CSS. I've learned a lot and improved my skills so I can be more confident, Thanks to the SheCodes team. I'm very excited to see what's next and keep improving.

This workshop has let me get a more in depth understanding about coding, through this workshop I have learn the key concepts required about coding and how to piece everything together. In the future, I would definitely sign up for other workshops.
Learning to code have been an absolute joy, and SheCodes has been the perfect platform by which to learn! The lessons are taught in a way that help you to understand why things work, rather than just telling you what to do without the context or understanding behind it. I've started to learn coding with a view to begin a career in this field, however before even completing the basics course I was already using code in real life situations in my current job, something I didn't even realise was possible before I started this course! The Slack community is also a fantastic resource with advice and support from both other SheCoders and SheCode staff which is really useful and reassuring. I am so excited to keep learning through the rest of the Pro courses.
I started learning coding with SheCodes 6 months ago. I submit my final project today, and the journey has been life changing. 6 months ago, I had zero idea how to write an h1 but today, I submit a fully functional dictionary app I coded from scratch. I know I am going to miss Matt's guiding and instructional voice in my headphones. A giant thank you to the entire SheCodes team. Till we meet again!
A great course ´to get a first look into coding. My weekends were filled with fun little challenges that I thought about even the day after.

SheCodes React was my last set of tutorials and it allowed me for a huge step up in my coding knowledge, having taught how to host my own website online. I very much enjoyed the experience once again and would love to make use of my newly developed coding skill really soon.
For me, SheCodes gave a certain structure or a 'starting point' to a wide range of discipline; which enabled me to actually start learning and appreciate coding.
The workshop was nice and easy to follow. You can watch the videos on your own time and finish the homework before the deadline. I also love the fact that we can reference back to the videos to remind us how to do certain codes.
Amazing Experience! The projects are fun, challening and extremely satisfying. the Instruction video provide you with all the info you need to finish the projects and homework without being to long.

SheCodes has been great for getting a taster of HTLM, CSS and JavaScript to see if I liked it. I liked that I could do it at my own pace and that there were challenges after each lesson which helped me to practice. I'd recommend the short course to anyone who's not sure what to expect or whether you'll like it as you learn enough to give you a taster and see if it's something you'd like to pursue further as you'll need to invest quite a bit of time and effort and money if you like what you see and consider it as a carrier change. Thanks Matt and the team!
The course was relatively easy to follow a few things id change to make it easier to figure out but over all a good course!
I started with no knowledge of coding and this was so informational and easy to understand. Truly a great program for anyone who wants to learn coding and I mean anyone! It was also a lot of fun and you always have someone to help you with any questions if you're stuck.
This is the best course to learn responsive web development. I really enjoy the portfolio project. 🤞

Once I graduated in 2013, life got in the way specifically breathing (chronic asthmatic) I never got the chance to pursue coding more until now. It was very easy to keep up and to have some help if needed! Every concept was broken down perfectly to maintain a fast but in-depth lectures. I learned so much it was really fun to feel like a tech boss.
It feels so good to have been able to create this from scratch. The course structure makes sense and specially loved in the last two weeks to see Matt creating the app in real time.

I've learned so much since I have started my SheCodes journey back in January. SheCodes Responsive was really awesome and I learned a ton. I cannot wait to finish off with SheCodes React. The best part about Responsive is having the final project be a portfolio that I will be able to use once I am ready to start applying to jobs.

I'm looking to transition careers but without going back to school. Before the basics workshop I had no experience with creating my own web page but now I can create one from scratch using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I am so happy I found SheCodes Basics and Matt does a terrific job explaining the introductory concepts without babying us, while promoting self exploration.
Wow what a fantastic journey it was learning about coding with SheCodes. If I can learn, you can learn. This is a great beginning course for someone who has no clue what coding is about. I feel confident. I will use what I have learned about coding and teach it to children in my childcare business. I recommend this basic course to anyone wanting to try. The workshops help and the video presentations help a lot. The information is given in many different ways. You will learn to code if you complete the assignments. I love coding! I came across SheCodes this time last year and did the free introduction course. Happy to say I came across SheCodes again and the timing was right! Matt makes learning to code easy to understand and not intimidating. There's so many coding resources here like the gradient tool and even the radio is pretty sweet 💜. I also like having the homework and deadlines, it keeps me on track 🙌
Enjoying the course so far
While I am excited and thankful for the final weather app project, I believe that the Week 04 and 05 modules should be retooled. There is much to learn about JavaScript and it feels as though those two weeks in particular for Plus are too dense and could easily be broken into two sections each. If SheCodes could also experiment with how they display lessons, this would be beneficial for those that learn in different ways. Showing VSCode constantly while building the code but not showing how facets like different JavaScript rules or CSS declarations flow into each other became confusing in some instances. There was also a discrepancy in recording volume between the weeks and even modules within each week so sometimes it was difficult to hear Matt's instructions. The Team that works on Slack to answer questions and give guidance continue to be informative and empathetic, to which I am grateful. A cool piece to build, the overall presentation and class flows could use some updating.

I loved this course so much. I've done so many different, "self-paced" coding courses, and not a single one of them compared to this. Great intro workshop for beginners.
I had a lot fun in the basics workshop. It was exciting to be able to build a page after just 3 weeks!
I tried a variety of coding classes over the course of a year. I can confidently state that the technique is fantastic and allows you to track your progress in a very articulate way. I am a lawyer with no prior coding experience, and I believe I have learned a lot. Fighting to narrow the gender gap is critical; by gaining these skills, we are all encouraging girls and women into the tech.
Really enjoyed this! It was a big learning curve but I loved all the problem solving and creating I got to do.
React is not easy to understand, but with Matt it is fun and one can easily follow his instructions. Even if we only covered the tip of the iceberg, this workshop shows what is possible and makes curious of more.
I enjoyed it so much! I highly recommend this course, it will open new opportunities for your professional growth.

I've had so much fun during this course. It was certainly tricky to create the right codes sometimes, but if it wouldn't be a bit challenging I wouldn't learn and become a better developer. Matt is very pedagogical and explains everything very well, which makes it easy to understand. I totally recommend this course to everyone who is interested in learning how to code!

I found the progressive lesson format very accessible and user friendly. Mat breaks down the languages into bite-sized easy to understand videos and challenges.
This course was very easy to understand. I have never done coding before and from afar, felt it to be intimidating. How Matt taught it and built the knowledge up from the foundational skills was smooth and easy to understand. This is course is great for anyone who would like to keep their full-time job and learn a valuable skill on the side.

The Responsive course has been my favourite SheCodes course so far! The Portfolio project was so helpful in pulling everything I had learned together and gave me the tools to go back and make my previous projects responsive too.
