A valuable workshop with yet more complexity and new challenges. I really enjoyed learning how to embed maps, videos and social media to a web page and making it responsive. I created a page with multiple sections and used grids to organise the content. It was satisfying to produce a professional standard site and use industry tools. Excellent instruction, guidance and team support when needed. I am building the confidence in fixing bugs when they occur.
Joining SheCodes has been one of the best decisions Iโve made for my tech journey. The workshops are practical, empowering, and beginner-friendly, and theyโve helped me realize that Iโm capable of creating beautiful, functional projects. If you know the interface of the platform you're telling students to use changes constantly, why do you keep promoting it? It took me longer to find the Replit tools needed to complete the tasks than to actually do them...

This was a great addition to the Responsive workshop. We were taught the manual way of making a page responsive. Everything that Bootstrap and other platforms enable was done manually in this workshop and I appreciate that. It's good to know both so that you know what to apply when. It's also good to know so that if something is not functioning properly you have options. The project was a lot of fun!

I really enjoyed the end result, even though I struggled with React at first. Once the concept of components clicked, I was able to fully grasp how everything works and started making real progress. I'm in love with learning the Japanese language and I've been practicing Japanese since January 2025. I enjoy learning a whole different alphabet and I found Japanese to be the easiest language and alphabet to learn compared to other languages. My project consists of the Japanese language and culture.
After such a long break! I have finally come back to shecodes and im so glad I did. It is so fun to see what you've learnt in the projects set for you and the homework! This was the most fun I've had in a while! After learning so many new things in the previous courses, this project reminded me of the power of pure HTML and CSS. Being able to build a website without JavaScript was really satisfying! Diving into CSS Grids, HTML tables, and figuring out how to make it all responsive was incredibly fun and rewarding!
The SheCodes Responsive Add-On challenged me in the best way possible. I struggled initially with HTML structure, specifically fixing div closures and getting card layouts with embedded maps to display consistently. The course's hands-on approach forced me to debug real issues, which taught me more than any tutorial could. What clicked for me: understanding grid systems, properly nesting elements, and making design decisions that showcase technical skills to recruiters. Developing the AI French Poem Generator was a crucial milestone in my learning process. This was hard. It felt like a big step-up from She Codes Basics and I wondered several times if I would get through it. But.... very slowly and with a lot of repetition, things started falling into place. I have gone on a journey with this course and the end result was incredibly rewarding.
