The Basics Add-on was a useful workshop, providing extra knowledge that is necessary for designing websites that are more visually appealing and current. The additional material has greatly improved my comprehension of HTML&CSS and given me the tools I need to create websites that are not only up to date with modern design principles but also have an enhanced visual appeal. This extension to the basics ensured a more comprehensive and contemporary approach to web development.
I’m excited to share my recent coding project with you all! As a beginner in the world of coding, I set out to create a world clock that displays the current location, date, and time using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. This project taught me the power of determination and problem-solving, as I tackled various technical hurdles along the way. Another project added to my portfolio and you can check this out on github (https://github.com/lahseh/world-clock.git) I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, and I’m eager to continue my coding journey, learning and growing with every project. Special thanks to the coding community for their support and resources that helped me bring this idea to life.
I first heard of SheCodes being advertised all over my social media, so I decided I try the trial class. I knew coding definitely interested me and would be beneficial for my future. As at the moment, I am a college student studying engineering and business, which the ambition to become a successful business owner in the foreseeable future. Coding has definitely helped me with my confidence when it comes to technology.

I think what makes SheCodes different from other courses is that it keeps you interested. SheCodes shows you how fascinating it is to code and lessons are designed in a way that keeps you motivated. that first step that I took to take the SheCodes Basic has changed my life. now I finished SheCodes React and I came a very long way thanks to the well structured lesson plans and the way the complex topics were broken down and explained. I learned so much in this workshop in such a short time. I couldn't have done that in any other course. Hello! It's a shame this course has ended. It was difficult, sometimes it seemed that nothing would be learned, but in the end everything worked out. And it was very joyful. Upon searching for a job after graduation, I saw the need to expand on my skill set and how that could potentially be helpful with me getting a job. Coding was one of the high income and high in demand skill set that I was interested in while on my hunt for things I could learn. I was skeptical about how I would breakthrough in the industry seeing that I didn't carry a Computer Science degree. Upon further research i found sites and online schools that offered to teach the skills. I then stumbled upon SheCodes, which was said to be dedicated to helping women break into the tech industry. I was fortunate enough to get access to their foundation that would teach women the basics of coding. So far my interest for coding grew due to their easy to follow lessons, that help you to understand what coding is, even when you do not know what you are doing. The self paced method they use, not only helps me plan my days well while integrating the lessons in it, it also allowed me to feel in control of my work and also pace my deadlines to my own understanding. I enjoy learning coding with SheCodes and I will forever be grateful to them for allowing me to learn and grow with them

I was really nervous about starting a course while on maternity leave and whether I'd be able to fit it in around looking after my 6month old but I've had the best time! Great course to help introduce you into the world of coding!
The workshop was very clear to follow and at some point it got super intense. However, if you watch the video properly you would be able to figure out a way. I learnt a lot about how to use API and also targeting each element of the code. Additionally for me I learnt that checking your spelling is very important cause I was stuck for 2 hours and found out that I ONLY spelled one word wrong! So if you don't want to make the same mistake install Code Spell Checker extension.
I HIGHLY recommend this workshop who wants to learn how to code, but in an easy and fun way! 10/10 also who is a complete beginner. I always thought coding was so difficult but Matt is a fantastic teacher and explains his lessons so clearly. Also if you get stuck, SheCodes team is ready to help you! Learning with SheCodes has been a life-changing and I'm looking forward to continue my coding journey!

It was a great experience; although I had some prior knowledge, it's been a long time since I last coded. This method of learning from the basics and applying the knowledge in projects in each class helped me a lot. Athena AI was also a tremendous help—a virtual assistant created with artificial intelligence. Highly recommended for people who are starting and want to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from scratch.
