SheCodes beginner workshop was challenging yet doable, with resources like slack you can get help from other peers as well as professionals. Unlike a traditional class, SheCodes courses are simplified and broken down in such a great way, you don't even feel the time. I didn't think it'd be possible to learn so much in so little time, yet here I am, feeling more knowledgable than ever. Knowledge is power!
Since graduating college, I wasn't sure what to do as my career. SheCodes was a fun opportunity to learn a new skill in a new industry.

I had done a coding bootcamp before, but I felt that I never truly learned code. It was very fast and I didn't get much time to sit and play with it. This course helped me take the time I needed to understand and research what I was having a hard time with. I feel a lot more confident in my skills and am ready to keep challenging myself!

SheCodes and Matt offer excellent tutorials on how to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript, for beginners (like me) who have never coded or used coding languages before. The challenges and weekly homework really allow you to apply what you have learned so that you have a better understanding of the material. I am looking forward to continuing more SheCodes workshops in the future!
As you progress through the lessons, this gets more challenging and complicated at times but it's well worth it. I totally recommend it
This was an enjoyable beginner course! The modules are well proportioned and I really appreciated being able to reset my "start date" a couple times due to finals and other life things that came up.
It was interesting, fascinating and most importantly understandable. I'm glad I got into these courses because they are very suitable for starting.
I absolutely LOVED this experience! It was challenging but the needed support was provided through slack and cheat sheets. I loved the self-paced aspect of it. I love the challenges and appreciated the hands-on practice.

This workshop is a perfect way to get started with coding. It is very well structured and understandable. Being able to take the class and do homework flexibly was important to me, as I don't have regular work-hours. Having homework and deadlines helped keep me on track. Looking very forward to the next workshop!

I finally got to revive my curiousity for website creating, which I by mistake left behind in 2009. I've discovered that it is as exciting as I remember it. SheCodes is a really good resource with a simple but useful interface. It really is what you make of it. The more time you spend on it, the more you can discover and create.

I'm really enjoying learning something I never thought I could do. Matt's lessons take things step-by-step to help make learning easier in a way that is not overwhelming.
Following along with the video instructions was very easy. There were a lot of helpful cheat sheets, apps, links, and hacks provided. Beginners who are just getting started with programming should definitely give it a try.
I like how the course is planned and that you have the opportunity to do it in your own time.
I liked that the basic course gave a lot of practice and after 3 weeks a person understands how much he wants to move in this direction

I've always known a little bit of coding but never enough to confidently use like I've been able to learn so far with SheCodes. It's been a really good experience and done in such a way that I didn't feel too overwhelmed and felt like I had a lot of time to learn without feeling like I needed to rush to complete any of it.
I really enjoyed this workshop with Matt! I appreciate that it is a work at your own pace course, he explains everything very well, and the exercises and projects were fun to do! I am looking forward to my next workshop with SheCodes!
I really enjoyed this workshop. Even though it was only 3 weeks, I gained so much knowledge. When I began the workshop I knew a little bit about VS Code, HTML, and CSS. Now that I've finished I've learned even more and I was introduced to JavaScript. I was honestly very nervous about JavaScript but it was taught in a way that made it seem less intimidating and easy to understand. I loved the short lessons and the challenges that followed. It allowed me to test my skills and make sure I was truly understanding the information. The solutions were insightful and I feel like I learned a lot of tips from those as well. I highly recommend this workshop to everyone. Beginners will find it easy to follow and those that already know how to code can refresh their skills.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking the self-paced Basics class at SheCodes. Matt is an awesome instructor and while classes are pre-recorded, I felt as if they were live because Matt was engaging, entertaining, and really broke down concepts to make them understandable. I loved having the lessons and homework as a I learn by doing. I also had a ton of support with the SheCodes Slack community and was able to ask for help when needed or check the threads for tips and guidance on assignments.
I can’t believe that after 3 weeks I can say that I can code! Matt has done a great job, the lessons are well structured and easy to understand even for someone who has no experience in coding. I can honestly recommend SheCodes to anyone who still hesitates, it’s 100% worthy. Thank you, Matt and whole SheCodes team for creating this course 💛
