Coming from a social science background I was unsure whether I would be able to learn how to code and ultimately build my own functioning website. But thankfully with Matt's guidance and videos I can proudly say "I can code". Thank you to the entire team at SheCodes.

I started this program a while ago, I had a lot of setbacks but I am so glad they have an option of getting an extension. The curriculum is great and Mat is also a great teacher, explains concepts very well. This is just basics and I cant wait to see what this program is going to do for me in the future.

I just finish SheCodes Basics and I was so motivate for learn more than I immediately started Basics Add On, even was Tuesday and all the courses start at Monday. I didn't want to wait another week :) Sometimes is a little bit harder because I have a 4 months old baby and I can only study at nights, but the way of the Lessons and how easy Matt explains, make smoothly that you can make more than 1 lesson at once. I've been already enrolled in Plus Workshop and I can't wait to keep learning.
I am really passionate about tech and I am on the journey of being among the forces that would use technology to create innovative ideas which will make an impact in the lives of people and the world generally. It was definitely not easy pulling this off in 3 weeks without any prior knowledge but thanks to the ever amazing instructor, Matt Delac, my determination and hard work, I did it! I highly recommend SheCodes because it is such a supportive and safe environment , you learn according to your pace and can get immediate help .I suffer from anxiety hence i really like the fact that there are no pass marks or exams and that makes me confident in my work plus Matt is a really good teacher and that makes learning a lot easier and fun.

SheCodes is a very flexible program for anyone. The course is very structured but allows for accommodations to fit your schedule. I've taken coding courses in college and this course was much more engaging while still educational.

This is my fourth course in SheCodes and definitely the most challenging. I was expecting React to be easier because it was created to simplify programming. But it turned out to be easier to figure out the logic of javascript than to understand React. But I'm not giving up on that. Now I face the task of conquering the logic of React.

Very easy to follow along, learn and understand coding concepts. I am extremely new to coding with a background in customer service, and I feel like I was able to grasp onto Matt's teaching easily. The structure provided through weekly deadlines was very helpful. I was able to stay accountable and on track to complete the course. Would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the developer program. I felt like I was learning from professional developers, and I was able to make real progress in my skills. I now feel confident that I can contribute to professional projects with engineers and creative teams. I especially appreciated the hands-on projects. These gave me the opportunity to apply what I was learning and to see how it all worked together. I also found the mentor program to be very helpful. My mentor was always available to answer my questions and to provide guidance. Overall, I had a great experience with the developer program. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about software development. The skills I learned were HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. One of the challenges I faced was understanding the syntax and vocabulary. This was a new language for me, and it took some time to get used to it. I overcame this challenge by learning, memorizing, and using the languages in practical projects. I am now confident in my ability to use these languages to create web pages and applications. I am eager to contribute to a team and help create innovative products. I am confident that I can be a valuable asset to any company.

My favorite part is when he throws a little twist during a challenge and says; "Okay we haven't learned this yet" or "If you can figure out how to do XYZ, it will require some research." It really keeps you motivated to learn more and challenge yourself!

The SheCodes basics workshop allowed me to have a better understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I enjoyed the way it is taught and it made it really easy for me to follow along without issues.
Thanks to SheCodes I learned how to build a weather app, and it was incredible, I absolutely loved every week, every homework, it was easy to learn every lesson. Thank you so much!
It was immensely hard to make myself go against the flow and finally try doing what I actually secretly always aspired to try my hand at: coding. And I'm thankful that at that moment of decisiveness it was SheCodes I found. Firstly, I understood that what kept me back the most was sheer fear of the amount of basic understanding of how the industry actually works. Navigating through it itself is quite an ordeal if you ask me, as there are so many fields and specialities and pipelines and skills required depending on the former mentioned and later omitted etc. But during a free introduction class which I was kind of sceptical to take at the beginning, Matt managed to keep it short, specific and really easy to wrap your head around. Yes, this was just a tip of the iceberg, but now that it has been reached, I felt like I could somehow see myself a person who goes on this adventure. The feeling was refreshing and, surprisingly, it never faded during the whole Basics Workshop. Here comes the "secondly". I was so happy to observe and experience how SheCodes works as a platform. Starting with design and going all the way to how neatly and user-friendly both the classes and the support are organised. The whole learning process just feels so natural and chill, the possibility to ask for an extension along with short and easy-to-understand lessons made this workshop somehow fit me like a glow. Last but not least, the content of the lessons is remarkable by itself. True, you will only hone some very basic skills, but if you want to continue learning these same skills would work as a pretty solid fundament for your future achievements. Still, if you want to join the workshop just for fun or for challenging your brain, you will complete it with a very real and very your own landing page to boast about (or to even use, why not) anyway. A win-win situation, if you ask me. To wrap it up, I want to thank Matt and SheCodes team for making entering the industry easily instead of gatekeeping it from beginners. Also, I'm endlessly grateful for the chance to study for free at these dire times! SheCodes must be known by everyone just for its Foundation program alone. And to all these still wondering whether to try it out or not: do not hesitate, you won't regret it.
It's all coming together! Learning how to make your websites & apps responsive on multiple devices is equally fun as it is demanding. To have built my professional portfolio along the way was the highlight for me. I'm eager to start the Responsive Add-On Project and continue my React workshop :)
I am glad to complete the second course, which is a good installment of the basic curriculum. Now, I am more assured in my skills. Just yesterday, I knew about code nothing, and now I was able to make a whole weather app – it feels like magic! I loved this journey and look forward to new achievements.

What an amazing yet scary journey! This being something completely foreign, made it both scary and frustrating. However, I best channeled that energy by pushing myself to learn more and do more, and soon enough, the fear and frustration, added to the excitement - it motivated me to keep going. This has been a life-changing experience. I never thought I would embark on a journey to learn how to code because, in reality, opportunities like these are far too few for Black women, where I'm from (earth) and I am truly grateful for the opportunity and the doors that this course will open. I am sad this chapter is finished but extremely excited for what's yet to come!! This has been the most engaging online course I've ever enrolled in. I cannot thank Matt and the SheCodes team enough!

When I started learning coding, I thought this is too hard I won't be able to do this. But then it is not characteristic of me to start something without finishing it, so I pressed on and watched the videos over and over. It was quite challenging creating this weather app, however I managed in the end. Needed some support sometimes to continue, and I managed. It does not look perfect, however it is functional and I am excited to learn on how to improve it.
I really appreciated to take class, the lesson was great and totally challenging. I also, like because I was able to take class every time I want.
